I'm in my early 30s, living in London long-term now and working in tuberculosis epidemiology. Travel is still my main passion in life; luckily I get lots of time to indulge both in my personal time and with work. I've been to over 80 countries, and in 2011/12 I was fortunate enough to be able to live my life-long aim of travelling overland from London to Australia (I can happily bore you with stories from that trip if you ask!).

Along with travelling, I'm very much into photography and walking, which luckily are all interests which complement each other. I am a bit of a craft beer nerd too, and I'm a bit of a foodie. Again, travel indulges these rather well...

MOVIES: My favourite films are Into The Wild, The Shawshank Redemption, Vanilla Sky, Almost Famous, Cast Away, Blood Diamond, The Killing Fields, The Green Mile, Babel, Seven Years In Tibet, The Fountain, One Week, Amores Perros, The Notebook, 500 Days Of Summer, Inception, Up In The Air, Notting Hill, Groundhog Day, all the James Bond movies... actually I could go on forever, as you can tell I have a pretty random film taste and as long as they're good.

BOOKS: Alex Garland - The Beach is my favourite book ever. Otherwise I tend to just read travel writing/literature. Authors I enjoy are Peter Moore, Bill Bryson, Paul Theroux, Tim Butcher, amongst others. Whilst travelling I've had the time to read a lot more, and especially enjoyed One Day by David Nicholls (only that book can make me cry on a Chinese train!), the Millennium Trilogy by Steig Larsson, amongst many others.

MUSIC: Once again, anything good really... the most frequent artists/bands on my ipod are: Alanis Morissette, Angus & Julia Stone, Arcade Fire, Bernard Fanning, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, Dido, Eddie Vedder, Eskobar, Feeder, Florence & The Machine, The Fray, James Blunt, Jimmy Eat World, Johnny Cash, The Killers, Kings Of Leon, Lady Gaga, Muse, Natalie Imbruglia, Nelly Furtado, Regina Spektor, Rihanna, Snow Patrol, U2. Yep its quite a random taste!
