About Me

-nb: allways read "my home" before requesting (with anyone!)-
(on the phone version it is the "read more" button under "accepting guests")

Calm, love it outdoors (but stay way too much indoors), like to allways try new things (can't easily stand routine), love hugs and closeness, like to hitchhike and i love to discuss and learn just about anything.

Yes that's my real name, yes like the Norse god, no not named after Marvel comics, yes i lost my hammer. OK, thats out of the way, thank you :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been active for many years, and it brings life to me when i'm not travelling or doing other awsome stuff. When i sit alone at home, i may do nothing for long whiles, not really entertaining myself. When i have guests, something will happen. It can be anything. Talking, discussing, cooking, walking, hiking, snuggeling up, watching movies, drinking orange juice, driving around, looking at maps, playing games, inviting people over, relaxing together listening to soothing music, sharing travel stories, performing anthropologic studies, making fun of Tommy Wisau movies... you know, all those simple things that make life nice :)

Interests

People (socially, physically, psycologically), places, experiences. To be outdoors to walk on mountains, in rivers, climb trees, try the water. Reading, seeing, feeling. Organisations. Traveling. Nerdy things. I am interested in all that is new.

PS: If you want me to really love you, a really good shortcut is fuzzing with my hair. :3 It makes me so happy!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything that's good, from any genre. I suppose my own collection used to be mostly rock/metal-related, but now i spend most my time in silence or listening to melodic stuff.

Books:
A man who never reads, leads but one life before he dies. A man who reads a thousand books, leads a thousand lives before he dies. ~George R.R. Martin.
When i travel, i probably spend 15-25% of the time with my face in a book. :)
Favorite genre: Fantasy. Preferably brainy fantasy.

Movies:
Lately i've watched a lot of Anime. Like Mirai Nikki, Tokyo Ghoul and No game, no life. It's now about a year since last i watched wester series, but among series i've loved is Dexter, Sopranos and Weeds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Moved to Oslo in 2011, not having work or a place to live, just baught a caravan unseen and picked it up on the way down and started from there. Worked out more or less fine too :)
-Grilling on the bus roof with friends outside a football match in 2012, when I was a bus driver. Police asked us to go down before it started, though. I was driving the supporters of the Drammen FC to Bergen, and they did get in a lot of fights before the match, so when I left Bergen i had blue lights police escort :D
-Actually staying 4 years in one place from 2013 to 2017, in Harstad for my studies.
-Renting a big fat 3 story house with my best friend in 2017, hosting AirBnBs, couchsurfers, freinds, national day and eurovision parties. One CS guests staid for a month and managed my AirBnBs for me in return, so i guess i even kind of had a workaway hahaha.
-Living in my little car for half a year in 2019, then moving to a caravan for the winter and hosting again (at present).

Teach, Learn, Share

One more thing - I can be a complete nerd. You won't notice unless you are one as well, but if you'd like to have psudophilosophical discussions about the mechanics of the magic in Eragorn compared to the one in The Malazan Book of the Fallen, or how district 13 is way too flawless in the movies compared to their doubteous self in the book and how the hell are they gonna make the plot from the book make sense in the next movie, or why Lüthien is the ultimate badass, i'm very likely to have something to say on the topic ;)
