About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be Global Citizens.

ABOUT ME

We are conscientious individuals, who try to keep a healthy mind, body and spirit. We both have a strong desire to transform ourseleves and be the example we wish to see in others. We are very interested in other cultures, food, dance, customs, religions... everything! We are very forward people, not afraid to say whats on our mind and thus are very social, constantly looking to meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

The rhythm of my heart is the birth and death of all that are alive. I am the frog swimming happily in the clear pond, and I am also the grass snake who, approaching in silence, feeds itself on the frog. I am the child in Uganda, all skin and bones, my legs as thin as bamboo sticks, and I am the arms Merchant, selling deadly weapons to Uganda. I am the twelve-year-old girl, refugee on a small boat, who throws herself into the ocean after being raped by a sea pirate, and I am the pirate, my heart not yet capable of seeing and loving. I am a member of the politburo, with plenty of power in my hands, and I am the man who has to pay his "debt of blood" to my people, dying slowly in a forced labor camp. My joy is like spring; so warm it makes flowers bloom in all walks of life. My pain is like a river of tears, so full it fills the four oceans. Please call me by my true names, so I can hear all my cries and laughs at once, so I can see that my joy and pain are one. Please call me by my true names, so I can wake up, and so the door of my heart can be left open, the door of compassion.
Thich Nacht Hanh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived without electricity, paved floors and running water.

I have roller bladed while hanging onto the back of a truck on a high way.

I have eaten a bug...as part of my meal.

Have had my pants completely ripped open down the back while walking the streets of Paris.

In Spain I heard the boat story of a young Cuban couple coming to the States in a make shift raft.

In Mexico I was healed by a curandero.

In Guatemala I was asked by the children if I had gotten there via the desert, and were amazed I was ‘allowed’ to go via plane.

In Rwanda I heard the stories of genocide survivors, and I learned about how it feels to not have free speech.

In Malawi I saw a 6 year old boy as head of the household.

In Haiti I saw people beg for food not money….money is useless when there is no food.
