CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of the world as possible!
ABOUT ME
I work for a medical staffing company right now, and so move every three to six months to different states. I love to try and visit different towns near the one I'm assigned to, but it's not always easy to find the best things to see and do (not to mention the hotel bills can kill half the trip plans). I love the fact that I can travel as much as I do, though! I sketch and take a lot of pictures, and at home I mostly weave. I have a lot more hobbies, but I'm trying to streamline what I keep with me and put the rest in storage, since it all has to fit in my car...
I have an African Grey that travels with me, but not on the shorter excursions - wouldn't leave him in the car while I went into a museum, or hiking at some caves...
PHILOSOPHY
I have come to think of life as being a bit like D&D - all about gaining the experience points. :-) Okay, I know there's more to it than that, but I have, in the past few years, developed this urge to go everywhere and do everything and live forever if I have to in order to manage it all. And yet, I do feel a profound sense that life is not worth having lived without having given service to others, so I am also trying to give back what I have gained from those experience points...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Not totally sure. Might be able to offer a couch where I am each time, but not sure how to update my address and get it verified since my employer sets up my temporary housing...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Once when I was in college, my best friend and I took another friend to the airport a few hours away. After we dropped her off, my friend suddenly said "let's go to Columbia!" which was a few hours into another state. We went to Target and bought shirts and toothbrushes, she called a friend who lived in Columbia, and we drove there and spent the weekend with her! We found a vineyard on the way back and stopped to eat lunch there - I even got a t-shirt. :-) It was a wonderful weekend!

Algo increíble que he hecho
Every day brings amazing beauty, if you look for it. Oh, okay. One year - I think I was 15 - we were driving back from Washington (state), and we were in the middle of Colorado, coming around a curve on the side of a mountain, and there was this huge, intense, bright rainbow going down into the valley off the right side of the road. It was truly amazing. Everyone on the road (including us) stopped to take pictures (which I now cannot find, though I believe my mother has one).
Of course, I find Turner Falls in OK, Ruby Falls (on Lookout Mt in Chattanooga), the Polar Caves in NH, the Lost River in NH, pretty much ANY mountains, the sunset in the Flint Hills in KS, the sunset on the west coast of FL and the sunrise on the east coast of FL... I find a lot of things to be amazing. The Salt Museum in Hutchinson KS is pretty amazing, being something like 600 ft underground. The Cosmosphere, also in Hutchinson, is also amazing, having an SR-71 Blackbird in the foyer.
