About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy all the beautiful People and Places with the amount of time I am given on this planet

ABOUT ME

I am a very spontaneous and adventurous person. I love nature and animals. I don't think I could ever live too far away from the ocean. I love board sports (skate, surf, snow boarding) I also like outdoor events like hiking, and camping. I have a big sense of humor. Even though I am a random person and like doing a lot of loud things I am very easing going and flexible. Really the only thing I don't like are people that are not open minded and people that lie. Just be straight up. I love seeing new places, meeting new people, and just experiencing life and all the new things it throws at me. I also love art and write anything from short stories to poems. I am teaching myself to play guitar and am a huge music fan. Also love art galleries and respect anyone that can translate their emotions to another medium.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is ever changing because as people we are always changing and who we meet and the experiences we have always change the type of person we are whether it is very obvious or more subtle. Go off the beaten path and think outside the box otherwise you will be going down an assembly line and put in a box at the end of it only to only to be sold at some clearance sale for the lowest price. Live Life. One of my main goals in life has been to see the world and make friends all over it. I think it is sad how most people live their life now locked into jobs, settling down in their 20s getting married having kids and just waiting to retire. And then you have all these people who are afraid to meet new people and keep to themselves. Is that all there is to life???? Maybe other people's lives but not mine. You don't have to be rich with material things to live a life more Fulfilling than any life a king has ever lived. Break out of the mold. Hell even if you get married or have kids keep things going. Be alive. You just need to plan and change with your situations. As long as you always have plans you will be able to do something, but you have to always be planning. So to sum up my philosophy it is to live day by day. Meet all the beautiful people I can and enjoy all the beauty on earth while I am still here. I never know what will come but I welcome it that is why I live life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I moved to Portland, Oregon and lived there for about 8 months. That was the starting point on the west coast for my travels. I decided to move out to Hawaii when a friend needed a roommate. I ended up moving to the town of Lahaina on the island of Maui. I lived there for a little over a year and then decided to move in with some of my best friends in Austin, Texas. I didn't want my travels to stop so I made the move. I live right now with 5 roommates and as long as everything works out with everyone's schedule we would be more than happy to have some surfers stay. Sometimes may not be good unfortunately, but we are all pretty flexible with our schedules. However, even if you are not staying with me and want to get together for a meal or drink I am fine with that or if you just need some guidance or information about the area let me know and I will try to help ya out. I also plan on donating more to this site because this is actually something on the internet that brings people closer together and is not a waste of money.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted people in Myrtle Beach, Portland, Maui, and Austin. Surfed with people all over the US. Also have met up with couch surfer groups and events in different cities. Eventually I want to branch out to different countries in the near future. Taking baby steps for now, but I have been to lots of music festivals and I can't tell you the last time I stayed in a hotel when I was on the road. I have camped, stayed with people I met at shows, stayed in squats, stayed with people I met on concert forums, etc. I am used to staying at the houses of people I haven't met or met through a friend. It is awesome to meet new people and have a good time. Some of the above experiences have been the best of my life.

Lastly I hate to put this on here, but I have been having it happen a lot. Couchsurfing is a way of life and a community. Lately I have been getting a lot of requests from people that don't fully fill out their profile information as well as people who stay with me and don't bother to fill out their reviews of their stay. If you don't bother to fill out all your info I probably will ignore your request. Also if you don't review your stay with me I am going to give you a neutral review and explain that you aren't really invested in the community. I am probably one of the coolest laid back people you will meet, but come on at least review someone if you stay with them. It takes probably 5 minutes of your time and it helps keep the Couch Surfing Community Awesome!!!!:-) Much love and I always look forward to meeting new people and showing them around.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I like: Punk, Metal, Reggae, Old Rock,
Some Alternative/Indie, Industrial, Hip-hop/rap, experimental, instrumental, etc. As long as it is real and not record labeled manufactured garbage. Books anything having to do with philosophy, politics, history, sci-fi, fantasy, horror. Crimethinc Books, HP Love Craft, etc. I have a huge collection of books and music way to many to list. Movies I like comedys and horror movies for the most part. Basically as long as a movie has a great story, makes you think, is funny, gruesome, or a combination of any of the above I will like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done lots of amazing things. I have been to Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennesse 7 times. I have been to Coachella Music festival in California once. I have also been to smaller festivals that were awesome. I live for live shows among other things and festivals are where its at. These festivals usually involve camping for 3-4 days with thousands of people you have never met and will probably never see again, but have such an awesome time with. I have had so many crazy and amazing times at these festivals that I will never forget. I have been to Hatteras a few times which is an Island off of North Carolina. Such an amazing place. Up North Wisconsin is also amazing it's just lakes, trees, and very few people nice break from Milwaukee. Never been out of the US but that is coming. Wilmington NC, Charleston SC, and Asheville NC are my favorite places within 6 hours from Myrtle Beach. Key West, Miami, NY, and New Hampshire are my favorite places on the East Coast. Ready for the west coast. Also living in Hawaii for almost two years was a life changing experience. Just a few of my experiences I guess we will talk more about those when I meet ya.

Teach, Learn, Share

I come with all my life experiences. I want to meet people in different places and situations and enjoy what we have in common and teach each other things we don't have in common. I have a unique outlook on life and I would like to share that with people. I am also a good cook. I am good at cooking Italian, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, and Cajun dishes. Tell me what you like and I can whip something awesome together. I plan to cook for people that I am staying with or people staying with me if they want it and maybe show them how to make something. If anyone was to come to my couch I would show them cool places around this town and not just clubs and restaurants. I would hope that if I went somewhere new someone would do the same. You never know what you will learn or teach a person you have never met so who knows. All I know is that as long as we both learn something the time is well spent. PS I also have a massive hard drive collection of all styles of music I am willing to share. If you are hosting me you have to remind me to bring it. If I am hosting you as long as you have a pc or hard drive I can hook ya up.
