About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning german in Berlin! Bringing a king penguin to the arctic!

ABOUT ME

Stuck in the arctic. Have a dream about growing up as a documentary photographer. Loves to travel especially in the nordic countries. Easy to get along with and think I know how to behave with people I don't know that well.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to change myself as much I can all the time because I experience new things all the time that I have to relate to. I like to not define my personality because I hope it is always changing a bit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to be an CS ambassador for Longyearbyen, so if you think I deserve it, please vouch for me =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some pretty motherfucking awesome guests and hosts since I started - some which now are my best friends! And some have really inspired me a lot as a person and shaped me to be the one I am today. Others has told me I've made a big impression on them. Is this a joke? It's too good to be true!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was working at a childrens camp in a remote place in the Ameralik-fiord close to Nuuk in Greenland 2004. I don't know why exactly but I am totally sure I will never forget that week.

Lived in two months on an island inhabited by 13 faroese hobbits, which (the island) at the day before my departure held a festival which gathered over 1000 people.

Listening to the final version of the CD I recorded with my band. We did everything on our own and even built two studios for that project. The CD cover took about 90 minutes to assemble per copy.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I know a lot about Svalbard and the arctic. Probably I can go on for a month without break except for water talking about cameras and photography.

Something I've just started to learn is how to knit, which I would love to learn more about. And of course all those languages... german, french, spanish, russian, faroese, greenlandic, dutch... someone said that he had talked to so many people at the very end of their lives, and not a single one wished he/she woúld have workéd more and made more money - instead they regret they didn't travelled more, met more people and learned more languages. I so much agree about that.
