ABOUT ME

First generation born in the US to immigrant parents from Poland and Lithuania. Got a triple degree in mom, now one lives in Albq, one in Alaska, one in Michigan. I retired from the phone company and wonder how I ever had time to work. I've been traveling a lot and hope to continue.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, laugh and love. Don't take life too seriously and enjoy the journey. When I meet a group of people I learn their names and they become friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted one person from Florida so far. I've been hosted in Liverpool and in Vilnius and it's wonderful to be shown around by locals. Most CS people seem to be in their 20's which is great as I love young people and get along with any age group. I met 2 ladies touring the US from France at a wrestling match, Natasha and Maud and offered my place but they already had arrangements and were leaving the next day.

Interests

Travel is number 1. I also play tennis, dance, love live music, hiking, hot air ballooning, snow skiing, bicycling and photography. I enjoy wine and conversation and meeting people. I like to watch basketball, wrestling and ice skating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Comedy and drama are my favorite movie types. I enjoy country, bluegrass, oldies, and pop music especially when it's live and I can dance. I read lots of books and try to mix up fiction with non fiction. Lately, I've read history books about Ireland, Poland and Lithuania and it helped since I visited these countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked in Zion national park. It was a 9 day camping trip to Zion, Bryce & Capital Reef national parks. I also can't get Petra, Jordan out of my mind. It's where one of the Indiana Jones movies was filmed. Matera Italy is so amazing, it's where Mel Gibson filmed, the passion of Christ. I have a wonderful photo that I enlarged.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know that a smile is the universal language. This world is smaller than we think. Just returned from Poland and Lithuania a goal I've had forever. I saw my roots. Also since the Beatles, have always wanted to hear music in a British pub and it was fabulous.
