ABOUT ME

Please read my entire profile! I have many more photos and even some videos on Facebook and Youtube. If you want to chat with me you can on yahoo - my id there is jawjadancr.

Hey yall! I'm Paul 54 divorced white male residing in a suburb of Augusta, Georgia, USA (home of the world famous MASTERS golf tournament)! I retired from the U.S. Army in 2005 with almost 25 years of honorable service! I like ballroom dancing, bicycling, camping, canoeing, cruising, digital photography, geography, history, horse back riding, kayaking, sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, thrift shopping, walking, water aerobics, working out and more. I am originally from Dillon County, South Carolina, USA (I have the southern USA accent to prove it and still say mam & sir) and my family is still there so I visit them often! I have a grown son that lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. I travel to Charlotte NC, Aiken, Bennettsville, Columbia, Dillon & Florence SC, Lake Oconee and Atlanta Ga. often. I do have a couch available if I'm home and hope to couch with you when I'm traveling.

I live in a suburb of Augusta, Georgia, USA which is home to the world famous Masters golf tournament! This entire area is known as the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). The Augusta Canal (boat rides and interpretive center), J. Storm Thurmond or Clarks Hill lake and damm, Fort Gordon and the Savannah River (riverboat rides) are thereby. Augusta is the home of James Brown (The Godfather of Soul) and Jessye Norman (opera singer). Things to do in the area include but are not limited too: Augusta Visitor Center, Artists Row, Augusta GreenJackets (baseball), Augusta Riverhawks(hockey), Augusta Roller Derby (Soulcitysirens), Augusta Riverwalk, Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson, Confederate monuments and powderworks chimney, FATS Trails, Historic Trolley Tour of Augusta, Lake Olmstead/Julian Smith Park, North Augusta Greeneway, Phinizy Swamp Nature Park, Pointes West Army Resort, Sacred Heart Cultural Center, Savannah Rapids Pavillion, Signers Monument (Declaration of Independence), Gordon Lakes Golf Course, Augusta Patriot Riverboat Tours, Somewhere in Augusta (bar and grill), Tropicabana Latin Night Club, Surrey Center (bar and shopping), Augusta Ballet, Fort Gordon Dinner Theatre, The Augusta Symphony and Augusta Mall. My town has an exit on Interstate 20 - Atlanta, Ga is approximately 2 hours and Columbia SC 1.5 hour.

PS! If any of yall want someone to go camping, dancing, horse back riding, kayaking or sailing with I'm your man! I am available to couch for an extended period - anywhere from a week to a month or more! I am old fashioned I love to travel I just don't like driving (what with the price of gas), flying (what with the body searches) etc etc etc so if I'm in your area I'd like to stay a while and explore it. I repeat I am available to couch for an extended period - anywhere from a week to a month or more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to provide a couch to those passing though or visting and use couches as I travel! I am particularly interested in traveling the Southeastern United States and exploring more of Georgia, The Carolinas and Florida.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did in fact create my CS account in April 2008 but have not been an active member until now (August 2011). I've had a couple of couch request but no one has couched with me yet. I don't have any CS friends or references yet. Hope to attend / host local meetings really soon!
