About Me

ABOUT ME

Brazilian craft brewer and rugby player.

I'm a big funny guy that likes to enjoy the good things of life: beer, food, music, sports, people and travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Brew better beer, ruck and maul!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Never received a surfer and only surfed two couches (in Brugges, Belgium and Gatienau, Canada), but I think the project is a wonderful idea. As I lived overseas and had the experience of sharing the same house and making a lot of friends from different countries, I'd like to keep meeting new people and making new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

I work as a brewer. I'm the owner and brewmaster of the Weird Barrel brewpub (@weirdbarrel). A small and nice brewery and bar located in Ribeirao Preto, in the brazilian state of Sao Paulo. I'm very interested in the craft beer world and gastronomy.

I'm also a rugby player and that's my main hobby nowadays. I play as prop at the Ribeirao Preto Rugby Clube.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock in almost it's all variations. AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Metallica are my favorite bands, but I can't put here everything I actualy like (the list would be huge).

"It's a long way to the top, if you wanna rock 'n roll..."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in New Zealand's brought to me wonderful things I'll have for life. The first one was to travel and get to know such a wonderful country, with wonderful culture and people. The second one was to be introduced to rugby, a sport where I found all the good values we need to get on in life, no matter what appears in front of us. And was because of that trip that I got to know, understand and appreciate craft beer, what led me to be a brewmaster and make brewing as a way of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I can try to teach others to appreciate drinking and making a good beer, and I'm always trying to convince people to start playing rugby.
