ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Long Island, New York but now live in Chicago, Illinois and love it. I always say Chicago is half off and twice as clean as New York. I've worked in non-profit, publishing, financial services, I've written and now I'm in web sales and love it.

I graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio with a B.A. in political science and I am currently going through the foreign service process to see if I can get an offer. I love to travel, exercise, write and read. I've lived in London, England for a year, and have traveled extensively throughout the world now reaching nearly 30 countries. I love to travel. Simple as that.

PHILOSOPHY

Haha...deep question. I think that it's important to do what one cares most about, regardless of possible criticism. I think everyone know's whats best for them and you should lead your life doing what makes you feel good.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing, but I'd love to meet people on my travels to learn more about the neighborhoods, cities and towns I visit. I think it's especially important to meet real people on a trip, and not just see the sights, and I hope to meet plenty of interesting people on my travels now that I've discovered this site. I also want to return the favor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed for for months actually when I moved to Chicago on my friend's couch but I have participated somewhat regularly.

I love to travel, read, write and run. I've run a half-marathon the past two years, and try to run on a daily basis. I love sports, music and play the guitar. However, I'm always thinking about where I want to go next on my travels.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Bill Bryson cracks me up, but I think Mark Twain is a phenomenal writer. I love reading really thought-provoking and entertaining stories, and humor is a huge plus.

I'm a huge classic rock fan, and play the acoustic guitar.

I enjoy good movies.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I loved sky diving over the Swiss Alps in Interlaken, Switzerland and bungee jumping into a river in British Columbia. It was so much fun!

I think I've learned something about life from every person I've ever encountered, however, I've definitely learned most of my lessons in life through my own personal experiences. I'm a younger person, so I'm a fan of recent college grads, and young adults, however, I think that people older than me can provide really helpful insight into the world we're living in.
