ABOUT ME

We are in our 50's. In 2007, we sold our home in Winnipeg and got on a greyhound bus headed west, then south, and then a plane to Costa Rica. So our travels began... (pics and stories here: journals.worldnomads.com/francesanddavid ) We returned via Atlanta, then heading up with stops to help people out on an organic farm in North Carolina ; and volunteering at retreat centres in Virginia, New York, and Ontario.
From there, we stopped in Winnipeg, and carried on back through B.C. to find a place to live. With stops in Nelson, Vancouver, Galiano Island, and Victoria, we found our home in the Comox Valley where we now live. Life is evolving for us here... We're fortunate to work part time and have time to connect with people on different levels.

We both enjoy fiction and non-fiction. Dave's a Thoreau/Emerson fan. Fran belongs to two book clubs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This trip we are on now.
Leaving behind the institutions and walking into a whole new world.
Choosing a life of experience over a material one.
Decluttering our household, opening ourselves to change, and then going with the flow!
Update: living in a new place on the coast of BC!
Update: settling in, and discovering new routines, meeting new people. Finding different personal lifestyles emerging...
