About Me

Traveling pretty much for the month of November 2015! Will be back for December though. ;-) Peace & Happy Travels 2 All!!!

CURRENT MISSION

To be the best World Citizen I can be.

ABOUT ME

Have u ever suffered from that paralyzed cheek feeling? It usually crops up when u are having such a GREAT & Fantastic time, that your cheeks start to hurt!!!! Well, it = not quite suffering is it? It is a LOvely feeling. And I experienced it A Lot during my New Year's visit to Edinburgh (& as luck would have it, my 1st Official CS experience) for Hogmanay!
This exhileratingly happy feeling though, is Truly what life is about (To Me anyways). And throughout my worldly travels, I have found it hard Not to experience that joyous plentifulness. Whether it be through another person's friendly smile, a comforting gust of wind shifting heavy sunflowers in a field of plenty, or a simple smell of fried goodness on the crisp North Sea air, inviting u for a well deserved greasy meal!!! :-P
All about me? Well, I suppose I'm a pretty laid back and happy individual. Always looking forward to enjoying the company & presence of fellow world citizen, to explore what life has in store... :-P

PHILOSOPHY

Awareness. Its so important, I think, to not only be aware of others - gaining consciousness of their likes & dislikes, but also to be aware of One's Self & how we impact the world around us. I try to be as conscious as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently moved back home to Montreal's West Island. & I am thoroughly chuffed about having my own flat! The experience of living in a shared house, allowed me to appreciate both the pros & cons of living in shared accommodations!
All things considered, I think of myself as a World Citizen...So, I guess what I mean by this = some1 who tries to be aware of the world that surrounds me, including the people, places and things - how they make an impression on me, and most of all, how I impact others!
I like to talk about my travels & hear from others about how they are / have gotten on with theirs...
Sharing life experiences = where its at!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a number of couches to date & my hosts have been Absolutely Wonderful!
I look forward to hosting 1 or perhaps even 2 travelers in my humble home on Ile Bizard anyday now.
The CS experience can be a wonderful thing. And I am so moved by my initial experience that I would like to help & support the Montréal CS community in any way I can!

Interests

I like music, danse, sports - of all kinds, movies, books, shows (theatre, music, comedy, etc.), picnics, socialising...
As mentioned above, I am quite easy going and open to new ideas and activities! Norwich has got quite an eclectic music scene, so any1 into really witnessing burgeoning talents at their early stages in flight, then perhaps u should come check it out? It is also full of history with the East Anglian Cathedral and the Castle in the city centre. I like to busy up my weekends as much as possible with cultural actities or travel to other areas in England when I'm not playing though, & would love nothing more than some more company on my weekendly escapades! :-P

Music, Movies, and Books

A few of my favourite movies are: Training Day, Sin City, Ever After, the Incredibles and Whale Rider. I enjoy R&B, Hip Hop, House, some D&B, alternative, just basically anything with a descent beat that I can move to will do.
I like Zadie Smith, bell hooks and David Sedaris' works. One of my favourite books is probably Rule of the Bone, but I forgot who the author was. Read it for a psychology class back in cegep & its life lessons = still penetrating!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I've been up to the North of Québec in a Dash 8 plane to Povirnituk to work. But also managed to experience 1 of our Fabulous World's Wonders - the Northern Lights! As well, I actually caught three arctic fish (after being shown how to manipulate the stick + fluorescent string in the hole dug in the ice) during my dog sled ride on the Hudson Bay.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I'm fairly good at languages. French and English are the only two that I'd say I'm pretty fluent in. But I've been told that my pronunciation with the bits of German, Farsi, Hausa, Zarma, Fulfulde, Dutch, Japanese and Mandarin have been just about passable.
:-)
Always up for learning something new! Especially if it = in a different language! (i.e. Cockney, etc.)

Countries I’ve Visited
