About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"I want to hang a map of the world in my house, and then I’m gonna put pins into all the locations that I’ve traveled to. But first I’m gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so it won’t

ABOUT ME

I like meeting people, trying new things and staying busy. I'm outgoing and always make time for my friends.

vegan / vegetarian

PHILOSOPHY

Qui audet adipiscitur (Who Dares Wins)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm doing my best to be a good surfer when I travel. My current living situation is not conducive to hosting but I am very much available for coffee or drinks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- Backpacked across Germany, Italy, Greece, and Spain in the summer of 2008
- Attend CouchSurfing events whenever possible

Interests

Conversation, music, politics, and history. I've never met a person I have nothing in common with.

Music, Movies, and Books

A few examples:

Movies: Dr. Strangelove, For a Few Dollars More, James Bond movies (don't judge me), Jurassic Park (still have raptor nightmares and I'm in my twenties) and Fail-Safe

Music: Bob Dylan, Rancid, The Clash, Led Zeppelin, The Tallest Man on Earth, Townes Van Zandt and the Rolling Stones

Books: Life of Pi, Crime and Punishment, What is the What, and Chasing the Flame.

Radio: You can usually find me listening to Radio Netherlands or NPR

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far I've been to Machu Picchu, walked on the man-made floating islands of Lake Titicaca, stood on the Acropolis of Athens, and helped build a house near Tijuana, Mexico but I think the best is yet to come.

Teach, Learn, Share

I retain trivia pretty well so I could be helpful in a pub quiz.

I'm pretty good with computers and could help out with minor technical problems.

If you've got a guitar and want some help getting started I could teach you a few chords.

I'm not too bad of a cook so if you don't mind (or prefer) vegan food I could whip something up

Countries I’ve Visited

Germany

Countries I’ve Lived In

Netherlands, Peru, United States
