ABOUT ME

We are an open-minded married couple waiting for the world to enter our door.

Nóri is a pharmacist, she works in analytical chemistry. She loves cooking, especially kitchen experiments. We are on a low-carb (160g), low-GI, gluten-free and dairy-free diet, but creating some belgian waffle or manifacturing icecream is as easy as pie for her.

Zoli is a physicist, he works in computational physics and engineering. He loves taking photos of the world around him, be it people, food, urban or nature. At home, he may be found in front of his computer pretending to be thinking about very serious scientifical problems. He also plays the oboe in a symphonic orchestra.

We do think a lot about optimizing our activities to be more conscious and useful. Buddhism can help a lot in these: we cannot benefit others while confused or disturbed ourselves.

We enjoy having a great conversation with friends while drinking some cups of tea or playing board games and sitting on the floor. We also love cycling, hiking and books - although it is generally hard to find time for all of these.

Sometimes, we go out to friendly restaurants, teahouses, interesting exhibitions in any museums of the city, and music concerts (classical, rock/metal and jazz). We also like going to the theatre, mainly opera.

We are practicing buddhists, we respect life itself and nature. We try to protect our environment by economizing energy sources and recycling. We pay attention to optimize our activities in order to see the people aroud us happy and free from suffering.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We participated in a conscious dying course.
Also taught an old lady how to use an ATM machine: witnessing how simple things like that make people happy is amazing.
