About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life as hands on as possible

ABOUT ME

Isn't this what all the rest of the description categories on my profile are for?

PHILOSOPHY

A strange combination of Jack Kerouac musings, Douglas Adams humor, Mark Twain characters, and stolen philosophies of other couchsurfers giftwrapped in pages torn out of a King James and sent to Bob Dylan to be written down as liner notes for his next "Greatest Hits" album.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Jeffrey Eugenides, Jack Kerouac, Tom Wolfe, Hunter S. Thompson, Kurt Vonnegut, CS Lewis, Douglas Adams, Some Herman Hesse, SE Hinton, Catch-22, etc.

Music: SO much My taste in music expands constantly, with a passion for strong lyrics, improvisation and innovation. "when you hear stuff and it leaves you cold, it passes you by, it is not the fault of the music. You weren't ready." - Elvis Costello

Here's a shameless plug for my main band: https://www.Instagram.com/hardwoodheartmt

Movies: Loving Vincent, The Band’s Last Waltz, American History X, Get Out, Fight Club, the LOTR trilogy, Dumb and Dumber (Kerouac's "On the Road" in layman's terms), Into the Wild, Across the Universe, Memento,7 pounds, most movies that challenge me to think with a large handful of just-for-funners as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This will change daily if we learn to open our eyes a little wider.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very enthusiastic about sharing my music with the world, and more than willing to teach what I can therein. On a more practical and base level, I'm happy to help out around the house of my host or cook a meal in exchange for a roof to sleep under!

What I Can Share with Hosts

laughter, music, food, stories, probably more laughter.
