Sobre mí

Queer male spending summers in northern WI, and winters in Austin TX. I have a box truck I converted into an RV for when I hit the road. I work in construction, with enthusiasm for building tiny houses, small spaces, remodeling, and adaptive reuse. I grew up on a farm, and have retained many homesteading skills, which I try to incorporate into my life. I have a deep appreciation for home made, quality time, natural beauty, and authenticity.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

To help strangers, meet travelers, make friends and share stories.

Intereses

I tend to mostly do things related to building and creating, designing or making. I love to garden, growing my own food, creating fun structures, permaculture, sewing, cooking, and I am always up for fixing things. I enjoy life in general, whether it's reading in a nice hot bath, or fixing the toilet.

Música, películas y libros

I really appreciate and relate to stories of my fellow gays, radical faeries, freaks, queers, travelers, migrant workers, people on the edges of society, and other under-represented minorities. "Beasts of the Southern Wild" makes my heart soar (sore).

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I live a seasonal lifestyle, and all of it is open for sharing, learning and teaching. In spring I'm germinating seeds, pulling weeds, and preparing beds for planting in TX. I migrate north with tiny plants to northern WI, where I start more seeds, prepare more beds, and plant more plants. In the summer I travel to work in the Rocky Mountains. There I build, garden, plumb, tile, and enjoy the mountain air. Fall finds me in my Mom's kitchen back in WI putting up the summer harvest. We slice, dice, chop and rinse, then can, dehydrate, blanche, and freeze. Finally I head back south to TX for the winter, where I chop wood, drink tea by the fireplace, sauna with friends, visit with neighbors, plant, build, and cuddle.
