ABOUT ME

I'll fill this in later when I am not about to take off on a trip! Oooer 2 years on and I am still about to go on a trip! What can I say? , I am self employed reflexologist, health ed youth worker, tai chi and dance teacher and hat maker! I'm a respectful, independent, thinker and like to spend lots of time alone. Although I do love to meet new people and see new places. I sort of have two speeds - full speed and stop.! Like to move around alot but these days tends to be more in England. Love to swim in the sea so enjoy finding new pieces of coastline to explore. Spent years travelling and living abroad and then decided it was time to explore my own country. Still lots of places I haven't been to in England. Having said that am getting very itchy feet and ready to do some travelling

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have been trading my skills for accommodation all over the world all my life. Just returned from a trip to Hong Kong, Sydney and New Zealand (5 yrs ago now - where did that go? )so not planning any big trips in the near future but would like to do some more surfing in UK and hoping to have lots of people stay with me over the summer as not enough people coming to me! apologies to all those I have had to turn down recently while away travelling. Very impressed that some people have contacted me when they are around even though they don't need accomodation which encouraged me to do the same recently. Love being able to help people find their way around as know how difficult it can be especially when you are in a strange country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

LOTS I have been couch surfing for 30 years and have many stories. Have stayed with people all over the world. Have never had a dangerous experience - although some I wouldn't like to repeat.

GRIPES
I used to have a 100%response rate but in the last few years on Couchsurfing there have been more than a few odd messages that have come through that make me wonder if the senders are using it as a dating site! Please don't! I don't answer them and it has ruined my 'response rate'. It has also put my friends off using the site. Ok that is my gripe over.

Interests

DANCING obsessively whenever and wherever I get the chance which is the main reason for my travelling these days. Gardening when at home. Travelling. Want to start open-water swimming. Go out of my way to swim wherever I visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam with a WILD dolphin 5 times in the North Sea (not the warmest open-water swims I've ever had, but definitely the most exciting and memorable).

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to share any of my skills and to learn new ones.
Reflexology, tai chi, obviously but also am a patterncutter and teach lots of crafts.
