About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To love and live life fully. To meet wonderful, kind, funny, courageous, people. To be authentic. To be loving. To help others.

ABOUT ME

I love meeting good people. I am very extroverted and love talking to new people and learning about the lives they choose. I love singing, acting, poetry, writing, cooking, film, beautiful places, hugging, meaningful conversation, books, music, singing, philosophy, animals, art, learning and growing. I care about being a good friend. I love when people feel at home in my home. I live with my wonderful boyfriend Brian, in Arlington, VA.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is for loving, growing, learning, helping others and trying to gain some wisdom and connect and love in this chaotic world. I value kindness, joy and true friendship.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I often use it to make friends in my community locally.

I have stayed with one person and had five couch surfers stay with me so far! I've also made several local wonderful friends through CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met quite a few people couch surfing and I made some good friends. Some were just passing through, but it was good to meet them and learn about their cultures and lives :) I found two of my dearest friends through this site.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Love and wisdom. The most amazing thing I've seen is people loving each other well, with respect, kindness warmth, fun, true friendship and loyalty. I've also found it amazing to see people transforming their lives. I've been all over the world, but the some of the most profound changes have happened in my home or the home of a friend. I could say it was visiting Rwanda, working with grassroots development organizations in Uganda, rafting the Nile or so many other things, but honestly they just don't compare with those love or deep internal changes that can happen in a living room. Though that doesn't mean I just want to stay in my living room :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a poet. I can teach you about that. I have taught vegetarian cooking classes and would be happy to teach you. I'm a trained chef, although it's not what I do for a living. I'm not dogmatic though, and don't mind if you aren't vegetarian. I also can teach a little Spanish, about Tao,

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking delicious vegetarian food, a class on cooking vegetarian food, fun conversation, blues dancing tutorials, an introduction to writing poetry, some songs on the ukulele!
