About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To paint everything. Life is art. Art is life. www.jcharboneau.com

ABOUT ME

I am laid back, outgoing, adventurous and up for any exciting journey this life will give me. I love the arts, the outdoors, good books about important things, and embracing spontaneous moments. I live my life acknowledging that it is precious yet fleeting... this forces me to continue to open new doors to new life possibilities.

PHILOSOPHY

I embrace the fact that we are all a part of a big chaotic swirl of endless existence and it is ever changing and ever evolving.
"This too shall pass" is a motto I live by to remind me that both positive and negative moments will arise and just as quickly they will vanish to a memory. We cannot choose what will happen, but we can choose to accept that it did.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of traveling and connecting with the communities of a new place. It develops my life philosophies and most importantly it inspires my artwork. I create what I experience, and the more I can understand a new place, people, and idea the more passionate I can be towards them.

Currently I am living in Tahoe/Reno area bouncing around. I made the big move west... but havent yet settled. Hopefully figure out my base soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had one experience that hasn't taught me something or left me without a smile on my face. People are amazing and it is hard to fully realize this until you take the opportunities to stop and say hello to a stranger.

Interests

I can sit around and read by the beach all day or spend a week on a full on hiking trip. Life is always interesting when you embrace every moment you are given. I love reading, art, philosophy, watching snow fall, going for random walks for hours, sailing or being around lakes and oceans, being active, riding my bike all over the city (i am a HUGE BIKER!!!), finding good music in dive bars, cooking, slackline, drinking new micro brew beers, coffee coffee and more coffee, and basically life itself. If you are really interested in something and you share it with me.... most likely I will learn to appreciate it too! Passion inspires passion!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every sunrise and sunset I have ever watched have been some of the most breathtaking moments of my life.

One night my friends and I laid on our backs and reached our hands and feet up to the stars and watched a satallite go through the sky. If you concentrate on the satallite you will get the whole earth is spinning concept... it was amazing

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been on a mission to teach the love of creativity and art through my community art project series: ALLEY ART. www.alleyartproject.cf

I also could have some wise thoughts about living a positive present moment lifestyle. I have been writing a journal of poems, thoughts, quotes, and just experiences that have had some profound effects on people that I have shared them with. I can also teach you how to make pierogi (eastern european dumpling like things)
I would love to learn more about others natural food cultures and living a natural, simplistic way of life that can help benefit our planet.
