About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To show other people all around the world why nature conservation is important.
https://wordpress.com/stats/lifefullofbirds.wordpress.com

I'm a conservation biologist, enthusiastic about nature conservation, especially about birds.

I graduated with my first degree from Germanic Philology, so I'm a philologist too. A lot of people ask me if my language studies were a waste of time considering that I ended up doing conservation biology. My answer is no, because nothing can teach you better how to understand other cultures than learning their languages. So this experience definitely made me a better person. I understood how important communication is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm mainly surfing, but I also hosted a couple of people over the years and had some amazing adventures with other couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to many places with couchsurfing. It freaks some people out of course, but I've learned that this is the best way of travelling - a very unique way that helps me to interact new people and get to know their culture. I have many really good friends who I know through couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: a lot, I love sci-fis.
Books: I'm actually a professional book shop assistant (not joking, have my very own certificate), so I read A LOT.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left everything behind and moved to another country because all I could do in my home country was being a call centre agent. I had enough of sitting behind a computer all day and started a new life as a conservation biology student in Scotland. This meant that I had to give up all my comfort zone, income and the place I know the best.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like sharing my passion for birds and nature conservation. When I see that people who have never thought about conservation before are starting to think about it, that's just the most wonderful feeling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All my knowledge of different cultures, countries I lived in. I'm also a very good cook!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, Scotland, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vatican City State, Wales
