About Me

CURRENT MISSION

be in less of a dither

ABOUT ME

I think the best description of me that I've heard was "high-tech hippie". A vegetarian except once a month so I don't know what you call that, love yoga, own a mac (though I do not agree with Apple's patent/copyright policies). There's a bit more to me than that...

Percepts not precepts.
I am slightly insane because I think about things, and it's hard to balance all that acquired knowledge with the sensation that of course, you know nothing at all.
I like people who know more things than I do.
I am a different person according to context.
I only have dreams after 7 am. Love for the supreme fruit that is mango.
I think travel for travel's sake is not enough- you need an open yet disciplined mind.

PHILOSOPHY

Why not walk on your head, sing with your sinuses, see through your skin, breathe with your belly Deleuze and Guattari

A poem by Qabbani:

And I decided to go
Round the world on freedom's bicycle
By ways illegal
As the travels of wind.
When asked for my address
I give the address of all sidewalks
I chose as permanent residence.
When asked for my papers,
I show them your eyes
And am allowed to pass
For they know that travel in the cities of your eyes, my dear,
Is the right of all world citizens.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sometimes you may just want to chill on your own, other times it's handy to have someone introduce you to all the real places where locals hang out.
I stayed at a couple's place in Gdynia, Poland for almost a week and they were so nice, making us food and taking us out. We're so confined in our daily boxes, it's easy to forget that it doesn't take that much to connect to others.
On my Scandinavia trip I ran into, planned running into, or otherwise chaotically met beautiful people who I stayed at, had cake with and other nice activities:
Alina in Tromso
Geir and Nils in Trondheim
Johannes in Oslo
Dimitiris> and Henri in Goteborg
Most recent beautiful people:
Kostis in Rhodes, Greece
Salvatore in London, UK
Gabriel in London, UK

Interests

Changing society instead of moaning that others don't.
Veganism and cooking lovely foods, permaculture, mythology. I know how that sounds... Like I'm gonna spank an omnivore! I'm not a food nazi or anything, but I hate unnatural chemicals on or around me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A flower growing out of a crack in the pavement. Let nature do its thing y'all.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to cook good meals at the drop of a hat!
I can also teach you how to meditate and ditch the fear and dualism. 10 mins a day is enough.
I do yoga, which means that I'm a white middle-class snob, but I can show you some moves if you want.
I can show you how to learn a language, basically any language. There's no lazy way out of it, but there are tons of fun ways.

Countries I’ve Visited
