Music, Movies, and Books

*Music* anything with a fat beat: hiphop, rnb, reggaeton, jazz, breaks, downtempo, IDM, glitchhop, dubstep, garage, grime, salsa, merengue, (some, but not nearly enough) indie rock.

*Books* random. Last books I read were "Simulacra and Simulation" and "Snow Falling on Cedars"

*Movies* love comedy, cute stuff like Amelie. Surreal/artsy films, I think The Fall is my favorite. Of course stuff like Pan's Labyrinth or Princess Mononoko. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Shining, Dark City. I have a sweet spot for distopia and gorgeous cinematography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, in the Santa Cruz mountains i came upon the hollowed remains of a colossal redwood, destroyed by fire. The remaining monoliths of burned trunk like enormous sentinels, charred bark like etched obsidian, the moss on it like a miniature primordial forest, shafts of sun slanting. I actually wrapped my brain around how very old, how very very old this place was.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know enough about painting, bike mechanics, welding, and screenprinting, rock climbing, MaxMSP/Jitter to teach, but can always learn more.
I'm interested in learning more about physical computing, networking electronics, 3d modeling programs, art theory, philosophy, sewing, and cooking whatever you are good at cooking.
