About Me

CURRENT MISSION

do what needs to be done and everything will work out just fine

ABOUT ME

If I found out that the world will end in three hours, I would grab my closest friends and go have a nice long cup of coffee.

What I studied in grad school is officially called "applied mathematics" or "mathematical biology", which simply means that neither mathematicians nor biologists would ever take me for their own. I am somewhere in the middle, not quite proving theorems but also not doing cell culture - I am trying to find answers to biological questions using mathematical methods.
I'm currently continuing with the same line of work in a research lab in the beautiful town of Boston.

I've worked in a biological lab for several years, doing all sorts of bench work. It was fun.

I'm what is called "a classically trained singer". More than solo work, I love singing in quartets and other such small ensembles. It gives the feeling of being part of a whole that is bigger than the sum of its parts.

I dance. At first I did some ballroom but now I am getting more and more into Argentine tango. It's addictive, people!

I bike. And camp. And hike. And rock climb. And cave. A lot. I like trying new sports. I recently picked up running, which is surprisingly fun if you know how to pace yourself!

I love observing people, talking to them, trying to figure out what motivates them and how they think.

I sincerely believe that everything works out the way it should, even if it's not what we wanted at first.

PHILOSOPHY

take it one day at a time

don't take anything for granted - then the world will just be full of pleasant surprises
