About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Remember to live before I die.

ABOUT ME

LIVE! Everyday of your life.

"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to a new and different sun."
A letter from Christopher McCaddless to Ronald Franz

PHILOSOPHY

“Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.”

― Neil deGrasse Tyson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf. I host. I vagabond.

My friends and I are currently starting a brewery. Our goal is to instill the ideals of traveling and CouchSurfing into our establishment and beer. Once we grow big enough we want to give back to the vagabonding community. Whether you stay with me or not, we'd really appreciate if you'd "like" us on Facebook. The more "likes" we have the faster we grow, the faster we grow the sooner and more we have to give back to this awesome community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a handful of times. I've hosted a handful of times. It's been some of the best experiences of my life. It's not about the free place to stay, it's about these incredible people who are willing to share themselves with travelers. They're so willing to share their culture, and so willing to learn about others. I'm proud to call myself a CouchSurfer!

Interests

I love running. I could run until I was blue in the face, I know this because I often do. Reading is one of my great pastimes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've ran with the bulls, seen Mach Picchu, ran 50 miles straight, and climbed Mt Fuji. I've done many incredible things in my lifetime, but they would mean nothing if I didn't have people to share them with. So I guess the answer to the question, "What is one amazing thing you have seen or done in your lifetime?" My answer is: Love.
