About Me

Digital nomad, entrepreneur, adventurer, too much smiling crazy girl.
I’ve been living around the world (mainly Europe) for the past 7 years and it’s been such an amazing journey.
I can’t be more grateful for all the lovely people that I met on my way and made my life journey not only possible but also so colourful.
A few of my stories in the “amazing things I’ve done” section. More pictures and insights from my travels available on Instagram ID: cristinalamuse. Also here: https://linktr.ee/cristinalamuse .......

I like to share a good time, which can be playful, adventurous, artistic, mind challenging, deep thoughtful, romantic, energetic, quiet or any mix that gets to the surface when open people just let themselves roll. Passionate about how human mind works (including yours :P), politics, entrepreneurship, nutrition and expressive design. I get easily hooked by an interesting and deep talk with a curious mind. Being playful, silly or goofy along the way, just adds up to it. Love to spend time in the nature (walking, hiking, swimming). Less of an indoor person and less and less of a party animal. I always prefer days over nights out. Not on a quest of trying out everything anylonger. I feel I could be here and there without loosing too much. It's less and less about the places and more and more about the people these days for me... So... let's just go with the flow!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The thrill of going to remote places where there is no tourist establishment and where the locals don’t speak any English, where I have to go outside my comfort zone to get anything... where I point to something on a menu and have no idea what will be placed in front of me and what bed I will sleep in tonight.

Things that just happened to me on the road:

When it’s too late to drive to your destination and you stop in a random village in Greece... and you don’t hope to find any accommodation... and you start hearing a strange language behind you. A language that mixes very familiar words with unkown words. And you realize it’s actually a funny mix of your native language and English, spoken by some locals whose grandparents lived in Romania for a while and some Israeli people that lived in Romania until the age of 5... and Romanian was the only language in which they both knew some words :))
...and they even have a free room and are happy to accommodate you :)
Things that just happen on the road...

When you stop in a supermarket in Jordan and talk to your friend in your native language and a local around catches bits of your conversation cause he studied, well, exactly in Romania. And he has so fond memories of your country as he takes you to his home to serve you some local treats and to introduce you his family... and later on he drops you where you needed.
Things that just happen on the road...

When you hitch-hike in Taiwan and the driver is so nice to invite you for a coffee at the friends’ place he was heading to... and his friends are so kind to invite you even for dinner, offer you a bed for the night and propose you to join them for a hiking tour the next day.
Things that just happen on the road...

When you drive until 2am and you camp on a totally random spot on the road side and you wake up in the morning just to realise you set up your tent above the most featured spot in Montenegro postcards: Sveti Stefan 😀
Things that just happen on the road...

When you rent an Airbnb in Turkey for just 9 euro a night and you get in return delicious cooked meals for at least triple the price...
Only the breakfast was a two-hour meal :))
And it was just impossible to leave the place without a full bag of handmade delicies.
Things that just happen on the road...

When you stop in a bakery in a random village in Turkey and ask for accommodation using the only 2 turkish words that you know... and a turkish lady takes us to a house where we found 3 chatting ladies. They quickly got so curious about us, asking about our trip, our zodiac signs and our marital status 😛... all with google translate at our hands... that was obviously very often wrong 😛
Later on we got a small room in the attic with even a smaller bed... and a toilet where the flushing was not connected to the sewerage system... yeah, we figured it out when everything starting to float on the bathroom floor 😀
But room was so full of memories, that we felt immersed, even for little time, in a fairy tale.
And when you wake up in the morning in trumpets sounds just to discover you happen to be there for the biggest celebration of the year... and just across the corner there is a stunning ocean view waiting for us...
Things that just happen on the road...

When it's already night and you are too tired to drive more to your planned destination, and you choose totally random a new location on the map... and you realise you ended up in one of the best-known classical sites in the country: Side, a greek ancient town with well-preserved ruins and a lovely harbour.
Things that just happen on the road...

The quietness of the Wadi Rum desert: priceless!
But getting there was not smooth. The bedouins tried hard to scam us as we've just decided to walk our way in the desert. Luckily, not long after we've started, the tourist police stopped us. They were so kind to offer us a free tour of the desert. We were amazed to see how diverse the desert landscape could be. We always had the idea the desert is... well... all about some golden sand.
After getting out of the desert, reaching the nearest town was a bit of a challenge too. There was no public transport anylonger and we decided to hitch-hike. A truck stopped at some point and we got to know one of the coolest truck-drivers. The guy was so fun... but also knowledgable. He knew so many things about the history of Romania and Eastern Europa. In the end he was nice to invite us at his place where we met his family and he offered us some refreshments.
