ABOUT ME

God, medicine and salsa/latin dancing are my 3 big passions in life. I'm a pediatric neurodevelopmental physical therapist that works with severely disabled children. I love travelling, eating, salsa/latin dancing, music, photography and books. I have spent the last two years travelling, dancing, learning spanish, meeting amazing people all over the world....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think the global Couchsurfing community is amazing. I have met some of the most incredible friends and had amazing experiences because of Couchsurfing. I wish Couchsurfing had been around when I backpacked for a year around South East Asia/Australia/New Zealand/Fiji.

Interests

-Latin and kizomba dancing are my passion. I dance in a professional Cuban dance company which performs many types of dancing including Afro-Cuban, salsa, rueda, son, mambo, cha cha cha, tropicana, tango, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, and even Bollywood.

-I also do anything active: volleyball (indoor and beach), cycle, skate, rollerblade, hike, pilates, scuba dive, skydive, white water raft, rock/mountain climbing, etc.

-Environmental/peace/poverty activism

-Eating food from all over the planet.

-I love latin american cultures and am working on learning Spanish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Salsa and kizomba dancing all over the world.

Scuba diving - it is the closest thing to being in outer space, surrounded by exotic colourful aliens. This year I finally got to dive with giant mantas which was a life long dream (Mexico)

Volunteering and training with elephants at a rescue center in Thailand when a new baby was born.

Medical Missionary work in Zambia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colombia
