ABOUT ME

I'm 32 years old (at least I was 32 when I wrote this) and soon starting a new life in Australia after having lived in New Zealand for a year. In my leisure time I like to travel, meet new people, do rock climbing, jogging, table tennis and follow my very bad little football team from my home town currently playing in the third division in Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently only surfing on other peoples' couches, but as soon as I have an own place in Sydney I'm happy to host people as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None with CouchSurfing, but some with the HospitalityClub. I used that twice in Iceland and twice in Norway.

Interests

The best experience was in Norway, where my firend and I stayed with a couple in Stavanger for two days and they showed us around and we had a lot of fun. Later we stayed in touch for quite a while but unfortunately that stopped after some time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

New Zealand was a really fantastic country to live, work and travel. I think I've never seen such a beautiful nature and life is so easy and relaxed there. And also Northern Finland where I lived for 9 months was really amazing. It was so interesting to experience these extreme conditions with onlt 2-3 hrs sunlight in winter and temperatures that hadn't risen above -25 degrees for weeks.
