About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying the magic of a new start in a new city.

ABOUT ME

I love to meet new people and I love to spend a lot of time with my friends. People say that I am very cheerful and maybe a bit hyperactive as I am always up to do something fun. I've studied psychology and I am very interested in different forms of living. Therefore, I like couchsurfing and hosting: so interesting how differently people are and live.
I live with my partner Karsten in a tiny but lovely apartment in the center of Trondheim and am currently trying to figure out a life in Norway :-)

PHILOSOPHY

We only know that we had enough when we have too much.
I try (and often fail) to not take myself too important or serious. Being joyful is more fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed during my journeys in the Netherlands, Finland, China, in Russia, Norway and in Canada. Every experience was more than good.
I also was able to host several people in China, Canada and Germany.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is always a surprise whom you will meet next.
I trust people by heart and I haven't had a bad experiences yet. I've met incredibly friendly and open-minded people and I hope we will stay in touch. I've met the best housemates and true friends through CS and am very grateful for that as well.
I think CS is just a really good idea. Isn't the most important thing during travelling to meet locals? I absolutely think so!

Interests

I like climbing, poi spinning, geo caching, volleyball, saxophone, poetry slams, slack lining, psychology, politics, listening and making music, cooking and of course eating. I like to discuss with people, I love to organize summer camps for children, and I love to go to foreign countries and meet the people there.

Recently I started writing a blog about micro adventures by train: www.zuglust.de

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Couchsurfing: every single time!
Being invited to an ice climbing trip in China by a stranger.
Being invited to stay three months with a CS couple in Canada.
Being trusted to watch people's children everywhere in the world.
Experiencing the Alps.
Traveling on the Siberian Railway.
Swimming in a self-made ice hole and driving a car on a frozen lake in Finland.
Standing on a Chinese train for two days (yes, standing).

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's speak about psychology :)
I can teach you climbing, poi spinning, unicycling and cooking German dishes *yay*
My boyfriend Karsten is totally into urban exploring, so we are probably able to show you some interesting, unusual places.
