I am open for everything what attracts my interrest. I guess thats why I became a photojournalist. Mainly its people with special experiences. I love to lern to know new people which are living their lives in very different, special ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just did a one and a half year long photography project named "couchsurfin' the world" for reporting about online hospiltality networks. Therefore I travelled with different couchsurfers in five different parts of the world to document in pictures how hospitality networks work. Check out my website for updated news about it:

The project is ment to be presented in a book. One of the images just won a prize at the world press photo awards of 2011. Check out wich one here:

Furthermore there will be an exhibition on the topic in Berlin!
The opening celebration on about 500 sqm will take place on the 5th of January 2012 @ Aufbau Gallery, Moritzplatz, Berlin, next to the first floor of "Modulor". I hope to see you guys around!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

in the meantime i surfed more than 50 couches in europe, africa, central asia, brazil, india and the usa.
all for the purpose of my photo book project about online hospitality communities. it was more than a lot of fun and i am sure it will continue exactly like this! thanks so much to all you wonderful people participating!
