HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Okay, so here's the deal: We are a family of three and two cats (and a horse, but he lives somewhere else). We've a flat in Vienna where we used to live and host **a lot**. Now that flat's used as a full-time refugee shelter and we've moved a little out of Vienna. We've got a garden and a terrace now and you can put up your small tent on the terrace. Or you can sleep indoors on the floor. In any case you'll need to bring something to sleep on and sleeping bags. (We are trying to improve that, but are not quite there yet).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After I have been hosting anywhere between one and seven Couchsurfers every week for the past years, I must say that CS really is amazing. Certainly, there have been guests I enjoyed more than others, and than there were those that were more complicated, but I don't regret a single CS day. However, as of late, we've kind of reduced the amount of CSers we take in. It's just getting increasingly hard to fit CSing into our time tables.

Apart from CS, other couch related experience includes:
friends staying over from time to time, far from being organized in any manner though. that was always very enjoyable.
a couple (6) of African refugees at my place. Given that most of them were severely traumatized, it was rather intense. But interesting and a "wow"-experience nonetheless.

Well, I love to cook. But sometimes I am the only one who also loves eating what I cooked. Let me cook for you a couple of times, and you know what I'm talking about. So I guess knowledge transfer in that area might be a good idea. One of the other few things I can share: complex multilevel propensity models of consumer interests mapped to geographic entities, in depth knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure (you wish) and connected to this is a real gem: MASS. Oh, and I'm pretty good with kids. So if any of you need anything in these areas, consider sleeping on my couch.
