ABOUT US

We are fresh married couple from Lithuania. We've just did super awesome 3 months honeymoon in South East Asia, we met lot of incredible people. We used to be very active in Couchsurfing some years ago when we were students. We used to travel all around Europe and use couchsurfing all around. Finally, we have bought a flat and we are keen to get our first couchsurfers. Maybe it's gonna be you?? 😅

PHILOSOPHY

1. Optimism is necessary to achieve something in your life.
2. Traveling is essential way for developing yourself as a person.
3. I hate when people say me - SORRY, I don't have time, I am busy! Plan your time and you can do impossible!
4. Life is too short for saying "Later". North people living style is right one! :)
5. Friends are not the ones who can be forgotten and only ones who make you trust yourself

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It started from the trip to school. I waited for the bus in bus stop. There was a stick with hospitalityclub weblink. Somehow I didn't forget to check it later on internet and found about interesting idea of travelling. After few months, there was my first trip abroad (to Italy). I thought it is crazy already go to Italy, so why not try hospitality club as well! And experience was unforgetable! Thanks for Alfredo who made the best time in Italy as I could imagine. I was satisfied about his living style, about people I met, about places I saw and about idea of travelling by hospitality club! During next travels I heard about Couchsurfing, and joined it! Experience is great! I stayed in 9 countries already, in more than 30 different places. I had only once bad experience, I sent emergency request and I got to stay in the place of adult who acts as teenager. We had spend night with his friends outside who were drinking hardly, making sex on the corners and didn't care about us at all. In addition, the hoster lived with parents, who were shouting on him that he took us home. Well, but nothing bad happened, we still alive, just another strange memory! :)

Best remembers goes to Slovakia for Peter for his company and his friends. Loved sit near the lake and make sausages, travel to all these castles and talk with your car!

And another unforgettable is Japanese guy Yamato who lives in Helsinki. You are awesome! He has plans for the next years and achieving it so well, I was surprised how happy he his in achieving things, and the main idea, don't be lazy!

Sure, thanks for everybody who met me too, cause most of CS'ers are unforgettable!

Intereses

As a couple we are active couple. We always love to try new things.We love camping,cycling,kayaking, hiking,skiing, surfing,diving,parting. Also we like art events, going to theaters, cinema. Ernesta loves to read soo many books. Our biggest passion is travelling and exploring.

Música, películas y libros

Let's start with the MUSIC. I love Irish music; some rock bands as Placebo, Killers, Muse, Red Hot Chilly Peppers; recently started be fan of norvegian band Whiteout, Brazilian Dave Holland, some instrument music other bands; Lithuanian bands as Skamp, Liudni Slibinai, Biplan, Jurga, Andrius Mamontovas.

MOVIES. I am great fan of Science Fiction, which are not older than 25 years old as Rose Red, Matrix, Star Wars, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who (Torchwood), Avatar. Also, some dramas: Osama, Into The Wild, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, love all the movies of Woody Allen, Lithuanian journalist show "Popiete su Algimantu Cekuoliu", Meet Joe Black, TV shows Friends and Simpsons.

BOOKS. I love follow the news what happening in the world, so mostly my reading goes to the news following. However, best book I have ever read is Jurassic Park, writer detailed impossibly well all the details and action in the book. In addition, I like travel books, most of them are written by Lithuanian journalists, travelers as "Popiete su Algimantu Cekuoliu", "Atgal i Afrika", "Iliustruotas Mokslas" magazine.

Algo increíble que he hecho

1. Hitchhiking! I and my wife did 2 or 3 weeks in Poland, Germany and Slovakia. The plan didn't work out about organizing CS events in every city we stay, so the trip was spontaneous, just by making circles in the map and deciding which place looks the best to go.

2. Went to Malta after my Erasmus in Finland. Found a person who would host me in Helpx (I have never tried it before, so was big challenge to go alone to the stranger place live for 2 months). The idea was to try myself as a person, if I could do such spontaneous plans and live anywhere.

3. Trip to Tartu, Estonia! Over 500KM done by hitchhiking over one day, amazing volunteering in the Hanseatic Days festival which worked out as the best party I have had in my life. People, place, festival, trip home by Lithuanian folklore band bus. I won't forget that ever!

4. Lot unqualified jobs as beekeeper where bees made impression of the huge family saving it's queen, direct sells to old people where the sells based on psychology (you can sell anything to anyone, couldn't believe till I saw that).
