HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i'd like to surf. eventually. right now, i'd like to host. i can't right now until i solidify my housing situation, but i enjoy playing the host if only for a day of touring around the city. that doesn't include touristy stuff, though, so fair warning.

Interests

i like to wrestle and i like to dance. anything else i may be doing is just some degree of one of those two.

things that are registered degrees of those two include: bouldering, hiking, skiing (but damn is it expensive), running, learning foreign languages, being tickled by dirty faux amis (des langues), politics,

oh, and i don't really know any nahuatl. i'm learning mixteco from a guy at work. he's from puebla. mixteco, according to wikipedia, is actually a nahuatl word for the language. nahuatl is the "aztec" language, and CS doesn't list any of the -tec languages (in this case, mixtec), so anyone who wants to find a mixteco would probably be best off looking for a nahuatl (as opposed to, say, mayan, which oddly is listed in CS).

metal: i've tried to see the cheese, but i can't help but see the cool. it's stupid to fight it: cryptopsy, behemoth, blind guardian, nevermore, strapping young lad, morbid angel, the meads of asphodel, grave digger, entombed, at the gates, amon amarth, the crown,

other: holy ghost tent revival (thanks emma!), tv on the radio, panic! at the disco, skinny puppy, the mars volta is A JOKE that will keep propogating if you people keep humoring them, soundgarden, the smiths, yo la tango, modest mouse, radiohead, queens of the stone age, portishead, nine inch nails, new order, muse, lush, lcd soundsystem, guns n' roses, foo fighters, frou frou (unfortunately, not so much ####'s solo stuff...), flaming lips, feist, elton john, dropkick murphys, bowie, credence, chemical brothers, billy joel, pb&j (peter, bjorn, and john--i know they want to be called that), roykskopp

plus anything i can dance to, and also movie soundtrack music! also, i'll accept listening to present day rock, hiphop, or pop standards without protesting. oh, and i listen to hiphop while i'm cleaning.

books: i haven't read too much. it takes a lot for me to get into a book. therefore, the books i have finished are probably telling of what i do like: hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series, world according to garp, life of pi, ...... i'm sure there's more there somewhere...
