Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's great to have resources like Couchsurfing available. I think it's a privilege to be able to use travel as a means of learning about, appreciating, and understanding the world. Finding others with the same mentality makes these experiences much more meaningful.

Interests

I'm pretty easy to please–in my off time I enjoy being outdoors, swimming and running, cooking, eating, reading, and drawing, among other things. More than anything, I like meeting people so my list of interests can get longer and more diverse.

I'm not specific with interests in genres of music, movies, or books–anything that seems made well warrants a look, in my opinion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rock climbing in beautiful North Carolina, Visiting lots of iconic American cities. Walking all over New York City and finding all kinds of neat stuff to do. Visiting the Olympic facilities from the 1996 olympics in Atlanta. All of my travels have been pretty cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I see the Couchsurfing experience as one with benefits aside from the obvious. Having somewhere to stay like a local is invaluable as it lets the time in a city become a richer experience. The opportunity to meet people and exchange ideas, interests, stories, and skills is one I want to take advantage of.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A mean in or a meal out, tidying up, a sense of humor, a nice walk, a run, a swim, a hike, a movie recommendation, a few stories, and plenty more that I can't think of right now.
