5 weeks couch surfing in Brazil has made me want to stay in touch with this community - best way to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - so much I love, a few favourites at the moment: Fat Freddy's Drop, Lauryn Hill, Indie Arie, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Manu Chao, Nightmares on Wax....

I love foreign and independent films, not so much of a blockbuster fan. Favourites include True Romance, City of God, Amelie, The Lady, any David Attenborough documentaries or anything with Leonardo DiCaprio ;)

Books are harder to put into a list because there are so many I like but recently I read Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood which I really enjoyed, currently on Desmond Morris' The Naked Ape. I like the classics like Shakespeare and Dickens but particularly enjoy stories about adventure, travel or a good murder mystery (Agatha Christie also a fave).
