By night, I'm a DJ. I've been doing that for 13 years, and I did a weekly event in Brooklyn for seven, playing all kinds of funky and soulful music, and booking bands. Here's what that sounds like: http://jesse-mann.com/

So ANYWAYYYYYY....... A few months ago, my old job decided to move our office from NYC to Washington State. They gave me the option to either move, or leave the company. I chose the latter.

So now, I'm taking this break between jobs to explore Asia. My homebase at the moment is Japan, specifically Tokyo. I'm looking to hit the rest of Japan, and also Southeast Asia. I want to see it all: the big cities, the country, and everything inbetween.

Interests

A few of the things I want to do while I'm travelling:

- Climb Mt. Fuji to watch the sun rise AGAIN, but this time from the way bottom, and go down the other side
- See and dance to lots and lots of music. Especially funk/soul/disco/house/techno/afrobeat
- Do some DJing
- Watch the sun set from the top of Nagoya Castle
- Pose with the Pumpkin on Naoshima Art Island
- See the underwater temple in Miyajima
- Cute cat overload on Cat Island in Japan
- Explore every corner of Siem Reap
- Swim with Whale Sharks in Thailand
- Try and make my way to Burma
- Do some indoor and outdoor rock climbing/bouldering ALL over the place
- Get even more suggestions from fellow couchsurfers, who will hopefully join me for some of it
