About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to travel as much as I can while I still can!

ABOUT ME

Just returned to the States after a 3-year Fulbright grant in South Korea. I'm currently a master's candidate, studying International Education. I'm in a love triangle with South Korea and Ireland. I've traveled to 24 countries and I want to travel MORE! But, these days I'm all about traveling around the States. I'd like to find a city where I really feel at home and would want to settle down in.

PHILOSOPHY

Traveling is an investment that I've poured my mind and soul (and wallet) into. There isn't anything like it. No educator, no student, no parent or mentor has the capacity to teach in the way that jumping in a taxi, on a bus, train, or plane to a different part of the world does... That world may not even be a world, but it may be a part of yourself. Discover a new part of your world... discover a new person within and notice the people who pass through your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed! Except for the couches of dear friends that I'm lucky to have all over the world! They like to travel just like I do, and their couches aren't always available, so I'm here to make new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't play favorites, but I do have guilty pleasures. I listen to music that reflects my mood, whatever genre that is. I like books that are realistic or where I can relate to the main character. I like old black and white classics, the history channel, and sometimes a hearty dose of ridiculous reality TV. We all need to be ridiculous sometimes, and reminded of others who are more ridiculous than ourselves ^^.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China almost in complete serenity. No tourists were around--just me and a few friends. It was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, Cayman Islands, China, Czech Republic, France, Guam, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jamaica, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ireland, South Korea
