About Me
This is the hardest part! I don't like writing about myself for starters... but I am a Burner, I can be outgoing, I can be shy and quiet. I love trying new things (especially food), going on a bender or exploring, but at the same time I don't mind a simple night in with good company, tea and a movie/book. Vegetarian, with vegan leanings. Basically, I'm flexible when it comes to what I do. As for who I am, recently I've been trying to live my life compassionately and be mindful of myself and others. I love learning about and experiencing this world and meeting its beautiful weirdos. There's a lot more to me than that, but I'd much rather hear about you over a joint/beer/wine/tea :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I was in Varanasi, India, I met up with a host who had two surfers staying with him for a week or so. They'd never met until then, one was from Israel, the other Iran. Those two, outside of their countries wars, governments, culture and religion, were just people. They were two normal dudes sharing an intense passion to see the world and experience all it had to offer, and there they were just chatting away like old friends. Couchsurfing breaks down those barriers of ignorance and close-mindedness, it removes borders and encourages community, acceptance and love. That's why I'm here - the more of that, the better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I snooped around the worlds largest ship breaking yards in Bangladesh. Old oil tankers and enormous freighters are driven up onto shore to be stripped down. Each ship is cut by hand by poorly paid workers wearing little or no safety gear. These huge hulks line the beach stretching off into the haze, skeletons exposed and the distant booms of falling steel can be heard constantly. The entries were all guarded and the sight of a foreigner sent them barking, but in between the differently owned yards were gaps in the fencing. Walking underneath these massive ships, sneaking photos of chunks of metal lying in pools of oil was the best and worst experience on that journey. It was disgusting and jaw dropping.
Teach, Learn, Share
Perception shapes your reality. You can choose to see the world as chaotic, evil and out to get you. Or you can see it with hope, purpose and love. Seeing lessons in every hardship, pushing yourself to grow through each struggle, studying the wealth of knowledge that's out there and always living with compassion for yourself, the environment and others are key. And education is the way to world peace!
What I Can Share with Hosts
You'll just have to hit accept to find out! But I can say for certain that I'm up for a chat, an adventure, a night out or a night in, or even keeping to ourselves if that's what you prefer. Either way, I promise I'll bring respect and warmth.
