ABOUT ME

I am 21 years old, I am a girl and I smile a lot. I got my feet on the ground but I am spontaneous and I love to grab every opportunity that presents itself. My big passion is, as nerdy as it might sound, animals and animal welfare. Not to the extreme, but my dream would definitely be to help change the way we think about traditional farming, so eating a hamburger from McDonald's no longer equals animal cruelty.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On this trip to Australia I have tried couch surfing for the very first time, its been a great experience and I am looking forward to hosting as well, when I go home. Cant wait to meet and get to know more wonderful people!

Interests

Animals, the outdoors and outdoor sports, I love all kinds of music and especially when its live, and I love it when people show me new music. I love surprises. When people surprise me and I walk away form an experience with a little more knowledge than before, I couldn't ask for more. Oh yeah, and last nerdy interest: I'm a sucker the western lifestyle. Cowboys, livestock, rodeos, I love it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't read as much as I want to, and I don't watch much tv. But music on the other hand, is always with me. Everything acoustic, especially if it involves the banjo or the harmonica, is literally sweet music to my ears. But I like a lot of different music, depending on the situation. Dire Straits and Pink Floyd would probably be my favourite bands, but I love many of the upcoming indie rock bands, old men with beards playing old country music, or a little more different music like The Cure or Moby.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've biked down "The Most Dangerous Road in The World" in Bolivia, I would do it again anytime. I've lived 8 months in Alberta, Canada, working as a ranchhand on a big Hereford ranch. The oldschool "cowboy lifestyle" was absolutely amazing. I've bought a parrot at a market in Peru and had it with me for a bit while travelling, I did the same thing with a tadpole in a water bottle I caught in the botanic garden of Sydney, but unfortunately it died..
