ABOUT US

Actually this profile is not about one people it's about us. We are a family of four Serdar, Bugu and our sons Tuna(2012) and Eser(2018) . We live in Turkey a country which connects east and west like a bridge. With a lot of diversties and a lot of history in it Turkey which is one of the must see countries around the Word. Our city is Ankara the capital of Turkey and the hearth of Anatolia. Not a touristic hotspot but a big and regular city with the modern face of Turkish people. We both work at weekdays. Bugu is a German teacher in a government high school and Serdar is a pilot. We are nature and travel lover and we do love exploring the wonders of earth more than everything.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

We don't know wheter the answer for this question might be different or the same for everyone but we know people lots of common reasons for being in this community. First of all it changes our lives, how we see the world around us and how we understand other people. It makes travel easier and with amazing experiences you can't imagine to have without couchsurfing . It opens a new window to world from your home, you meet with people from all around the world in the place where you live. It helps you to improve a foreign language and it is also just itself is a very good motivation for people to learn a new language. It creates the opportunity to meet with amazing people with amazing stories, sometimes a journalist come to your home or sometimes a peace volunteer, sometimes a nomoad, sometimes just new married couple in honeymoon or families with childeren. With couchsurfing your life gets everyday much more richer and richer...

Centres d'intérêt

Serdar is an aviator and he likes everything about aviation, he is also fond of computers, plays online games and practies his flying skills with realistic equipment and simulators, he likes coding for mobile IOS applications. He also plays classical guitar, unfortunately don't have much time like old days but he still enjoyes it. Sports are insepareble moments of his life, main transportation veichle is his precious bike, walking, running, fitness are everyday duties. He is a one star diver, an old horse rider, fixed wing and rotary wing pilot with more than 1300 hours of flying, Red belt taekwodo fighter and an addicted reader.

Buğu is a German teacher and she enjoys every moment of her job. Teaching German is what she did since 14 years old and she still learnes and teaches. She stayed 4 months in Germany as an Erasmus exchange student.
She is the most beatifull mom every kid and husband needes. Cooks very well and enjoying it sharing with friends. Keeps our family warm and lovely.
She is full of with life energy, likes dancing, photographing, taking care of with kids, talking with frends and surfing in social media.

Lovely Tuna is a growing kid with amazing abilites. Likes playing with other kids and telling his mom everthing he did during school. With his dad usually their relationship is about what the boys did, wrestling, pillow fight, rolling side to side and more... The computer games are also meeting point.

Eser our newborn is a new guy to the Earth. Every life is new hope for a better world. His baby smile shines like a second Sun in our house.

When it comes to all of us we think we don't need to write the travelling in this page, this is why we are here, meeting with new friends and having a multicultural look to the world is what we enjoy whole as a family.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Serdar usually reads fiction and adventure the popular science is also becoming popular for him. He likes watching movies and TV series, documentaries also a must. He likes listening music and feeling it, letting his sould to dance slowly with the atmosfphere of a wonderfull melody. He recently read The Kite Runner of Khaled Hossein and belives it becomes the favorite book of his life. His favorite singer is Loreena McKennit and movie is Game of Thrones. He enjoys coding for mobile applications.

Buğu likes love stories, it leads of her selection of books and movies. Fiction is also charming for her, when it comes to share some time with her husband the meeting point usually happens to be fiction. She like listening Turkish Pop and Rock she do not favour a singer the point for her is not the Singer but the Music

Tuna likes watching cartoons and random videos from Youtube, even though he couldn't read yet, he is very good on using Smart Phones. Can call her mother from her picture and play a game with just symbological hints. He likes exploring the new comers to home and when it comes to someone speaking a different language he becomes more curious. Nowadays he is a fan of Minecraft.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The most amazing thing we have ever seen in our lives is the hospitality of the people in Couchsurfing community.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Helping people makes both of us happy and teaching is good way of helping. Usually Serdar enjoys much more while doing something if there is someone to teach about it. And if you wonder about Bugu, she is a teacher, teaching is her job :) If you have an interest for aviation Serdar would gladly share his knowledge with you. And Bugu always volunteer to teach German if you have an interest.

Living means learning. We can read, watch or speak for learning but via couchsurfing after entering each others homes we enter to a different stage. And if you ask us what did couchsurfing teach you our answer would be not the cultural differences between us but it would be unity of humanity. After seeing how similar we are, now we dream of a world with all the people living in peace and working just for one aim: a Better World.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

At first we usually share our travel plans and ask their advices :) And then after starting conversations we like to share our travel experiences and love to hear about theirs. We like to share a Turkish meal together and we like to bring small gifts from our country. We like to share a drink if we have time after meal.
