ABOUT ME

We are a couple from Denmark, currently living in Copenhagen, where we work (and study from time to time) in order to earn money to travel.
We are very openminded people who enjoy traveling and getting new experiences. CS always seems to be perfect for that, and we have really enjoyed seeing new places from locals' perspective.

Mads uses a lot of time on making music while Sofie try to learn more about photography.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is a great way of meeting new people and getting to know places, you wouldn't have seen otherwise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I, Sofie, have been using CS in both Amsterdam and France, where I have had some great experiences. I really enjoy getting to know local people, who can teach about the culture as well as show you the right place to go. From April-July 2013 we traveled the roads of america in an old Volvo (which we actually bought from a couch-host in San Francisco). Our journey only gave us more great experiences with the concept.

兴趣

We both really enjoy listening to music and reading good literature. Mads is probably the must progressive at that point, which most definitely has a inspiring effect on Sofie.

It is always changing, but from looking at our playlist in the US, we really enjoy older music: Lou Reed, Neil Young, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Kate Bush, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen (Lots of male-artists). And when we are not looking abroad to find music, we enjoy punk/rock/noise artists from the danish underground scene.

Literature-wise: We try to read as much as possible - using it to both relax and for inspiration. Can't say which one is the favorite, but like music we tend to go for literature from the 20th century.

Moviewise: We could make a list, but instead we will just say that the "The beast of the southern wild" impressed us both this year.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In june last year, 2012, we went to a Lou Reed Concert in Copenhagen which was absolutely breathtaking. We both really enjoy his music, and seeing him live with such an energy compared to his age, really impressed us.

With that said, in general we really enjoy going to concerts and furthermore visiting museums, because it gives us new perspectives and ideas of life which we later can discuss.
