About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel as much as possible, Make new friends as much as possible while I'm in Rome campus!

ABOUT ME

My name is Bo, I was born and raised in South Korea, and I went to Texas to go to high school and college.

I guess I am an artist, in a way that I appreciate art and music so much, and that they make me happy and excited for the most of the time. I'm pretty chill, easy-going person. Occasionally though, when it comes to exploring and competition(that I care about) I become more of an energized leading figure. I love traveling, adventures, and new experiences. I like meeting new people and basically can hang out with anyone no matter what personality you have.

PHILOSOPHY

YOLO

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live with my family -parents and one brother- in a city called Gimpo, South Korea. It takes about 20-40 minutes to go to Seoul from here, depends on traffic. I can host one or two for few nights, but not guaranteed, since I live with my family. It depends on when you come and who you are, :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie. I started in February 6th, 2013. Hope to make great friends and experiences from now on.

Interests

Anything related to music and art, I would enjoy it. I like listening to music -with the exception of country music. I love playing instrument, piano and violin, although I am not an expert at them, haha. I love dancing, too. I love painting/drawing/sculpture, I can literally spend days in museums or exhibitions if I time to do so. I draw and paint sometimes, just for the fun. I appreciate beautiful architecture, designs, and parks.
As for social life, I enjoy hanging out with friends, meeting new people. I LOVE traveling, going to new places, and experiencing something new. I am type of person who would try something strange even though no one else would go for it. :p I played many sports when I was back in high school, but not so much nowdays. I sometimes go running or play tennis. Oh and I hike with my dad whenever I go back to Korea. :)
When it comes to food, I am not so picky. I can eat anything. I like trying new food. (also drinks(: ) But I do prefer healthy food- veges, fruits, tea, rice, seafood, and etc. Greasy food is not my favorite, after all. I like to cook, although I am not experienced with it. So as baking.
I think I enjoyed reading more when I was younger than now. I appreciate books but I read for fun occasionally (I know, it is unfortunate) - especially with all the college assignments that I have to read.
As much as I love the energy and vitality coming from the city life, I love nature. I love mountains and beach. I like growing plants and flowers. One thing that I should confess is that I can't swim! At least I can hike. I do enjoy water, though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm amazing things I've seen/done..
*When I found Trevis fountain for the first time. I walked around the corner of a building, and walla there was this amazing marvel Trevis fountain. I would never forget this first impression of Trevis fountain.
*I would say everytime I hike on a mountain, like any mountains, I get awestruck by the view at the top of the mountain, even if I've seen it many times.
*Entering San Pietro in Rome for the first time was amazing as well.
*Hitchhiking from Budapest to Vienna
*CS experience general

Teach, Learn, Share

As for learning, I am up for anything.
Teaching: I can talk about anythig related to Korea, such as its culture, people, food, kpop, education, city/family life, and etc. I can teach you Korean/English if you want to learn some basics.
We can also talk about life in Texas, same things- culture, education, sports (football, right?), food, weather, and etc.
If you want, I can draw portrait of you! I like drawing faces. Quality cannot be guaranteed.
To those of you who love food- I am on my way of learning how to cook, I would say, haha. I can cook you a grilled cheese? I can talk about all those interesting foods in Korea and Texas though!
