About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To promote cultural diversity and respect among different groups. And DANCE. Never ever try to stop me dance. You will fail and get a real enemy!

ABOUT ME

I am a diversity lover. I do love to know different cultures. I do like to learn, and, honestly, no matter what.
I love dancing, going to the theater and museums, being in touch with the nature, spending time with friends, making new ones. Currently, I`m learning how to dance tango.
I hate cigarettes, alcoholic drinks and drugs. I don`t mind if you drink socially, but don`t get drunk. And pleeease, don`t smoke close to me (the smell is terrible and you are going to affect my health much more than yours. It's just not fair).

In all other situations, I try to be extremely sweet! I have realised a great smile and kindness solve almost everything. So, let`s make life easier and funnier, not harder.

PHILOSOPHY

To have as many nice people close to me as possible.

At the end, everything is gonna be fine. If it is not fine yet, it`s because I haven`t got to the end yet. So, let`s keep working on it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I usually take the visitors to different places here in Brasilia and I also try to give great support for the ones who have recently moved to the city, foreigners or Brazilians. I`ve been an immigrant 4 times so far, so I quite know how difficult it can be . We don`t know where the places are, how to do and solve things, we have no friends, no one to spend the weekend and holidays with, there is the cultural shock and, depending on the situation, the language barrier. So, I try to give them support in all these areas. So I help them by providing information, hearing what they have to say, inviting for events on weekends and holidays, getting to know their culture and helping with the language if they speak Spanish or English.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in July, 2013 when I was traveling around Serra Gaúcha, Brazil. The only thing I can say is : it couldn`t have being better. I surfed on 3 different couches and all the csers I was in touch with were just extremely nice and so available to share. It is not that we like the same things (sometimes, that's not true at all), but we truly want to know what makes us different and similar. I just love it. They were so helpful. I had a serious injury during such trip, and I just don`t know what would have happened to me if I had chosen another type of staying. I am forever grateful!
Since then, I have had some other great experiences. One of the greatest ones was surfing on Dwanne`s couch! I got a sister forever. I never thought I could make such a great friendship in 4 days, especially with someone that is quite different from me. I love her!!
In 2014, I backpaked around Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru, and the main thing I can tell is that couchsurfing during most of the time enhanced my beliefs in mankind. I came back from this trip believing that there are so many great people in the world and that we are many more than the bad ones. Let`s make the difference.
In 2016/2017, I backpaked through Patagonia and it was an amazing experience! In El calafate I was hosted by Estefánia, who has the best hug ever! In Villa la angostura, Chalo brought me all the peace I needed at that moment and provided a wonderful family christmas night. In Bariloche, Vic opened her place, heart and smile and we had a wonderful new year eve together with the whole CS community:) Such a lovely and intercultural night!
