About Me
I'm 23 and currently living in Baltimore. I moved here from Philly last year and have been spending my time working and saving to travel and visit friends across the country as often as I can. I spend most of my mornings working on a cut-flower farm which is an amazing sanctuary less than an hour north of Baltimore. I have another job as well which makes my schedule pretty busy but I am still trying to make time to host people this summer. I also have some trips to the South coming up later this year and hopefully I will be making my way back to Europe in 2016
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently hosting surfers at my apartment in Baltimore that I share with a roommate and her cat Huckleberry. And there's actually a little kitten at our house now as of July .. This little qt named Scout. I view Couchsurfing as the best way to really see a city and get to know the people that make up a place. I appreciate how trustworthy and down-to-earth the community is. I try to open up my home as often as I can to travelers passing by because I want to give back to other people the hospitality I've experienced while Couchsurfing myself.
I like to host people when I have time to show you around and give you a good idea of what baltimore is really like. I'm down for our to be a crash pad in a pinch if you just need a place to sleep, but if you're trying to stay more than a night, I like to be able to get to know my couchsurfer and make them feel at home.
I'm going to try and get better about responding to all my requests. I generally haven't really been checking my inbox unless I know I have time to host, but I will try to at least let you all know if i definitely can't do it, sorry!
I really really love my city and I'm sure that will become very obvious to you when we meet. I want all travelers coming through Baltimore to have an authentic experience and get to see the city I know-- not just the easily accessible tourist experience or not just the stereotypical presentation that you've probably seen on the news or The Wire about this city.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical interests vary, but I'll use Patti Smith as my emblem of everything I respect/love in an artist/poet/musician. I also love a lot of bands from Baltimore and really respect the music scene that's been happening here for a long time. I read a lot, but I have always loved the Beats the most. I like 90s stoner comedies, 80s action movies starring Kurt Russel, and I like any TV show involving female comedians such as Parks & Rec, Girls, Broad City. I'm always down to talk about podcasts or NPR or music. Also I collect VHS and cassettes and vinyl.. I like to geek out over physical copies of my favorite shows movies and music.
