ABOUT ME

Hi there my name is Pascal and it is already nice to meet you if you read this :) !

I am a 25 young man mixed from France/Madagascar and born in Kenya (Nairobi). Have been in more than 35 countries, globetrotter for life, i'm open to every new experience!

I love to give without expecting anything in return. I'm polite, generous and will always be up to help you in anyway i can if you need so! That is the way i grew up. Hospitality is a way of life that i got from my Malagasy part.

I guess i can say that i am open-minded! Have worked/studied with mates from more than 15 different countries!

I might appear a little bit shy if we first meet one day! Better being trully honest ! This is my "geek" part since i love sciences and high technology (master degree in computer engineering i worked a bit at French Space Agency at the end of my study). But i think i am in total phase with couchsurfing spirit!

Traveling to Australia with a Working Holiday Visa, i plan to arrive in late April 2013. Have plenty of time to discover such a big country which is a dream for me. I plan to buy a Van and hit the road trying to find "backpackers" suitable job as well on my way! I will arrive in Darwin Area after an awesome 30 hours trip from Nimes (south of France) to Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and finally Darwin!

PHILOSOPHY

"Run the world in every way possible, it is not only the discovery of others, but this is the first self-exploration, excitement to see act and react. This is a sign that modern man has become aware of the mess it would be to make passive a life that is already to short." Translate from French author Xavier Maniguet

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just arrived on CS but i hope i will be able to host and be hosted a lot in the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I know "a bit" about hospitality since i have received a lot of friends, and friends of friends to my place in France. I adapt fast to any kind of situation!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: i'm listening to so much different styles and i play guitar. I guess i'm especially in love with artists such as Norah Jones, John Butler Trio, Andy McKee, Ray Charles. I also like reggae (Damian Marley..), techno(Eiffel 65 haha), dubstep (Rusko, Skrillex..), electro (deadmau5, crystal castles, daft punk, justice, avicii). I really listen to everything!

Movies: i really like Tarantino movies because they have an artistic dimension that maybe others dont have. I also really enjoy Almodovar and Woody Allen work. French movies are not so bad as well ! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have experimented Laponian, beyond polar circle in Sweden -35°Celsius and Madagascar +35°Celsius the same year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a bit of French even if few days won't be enough because it is so complicated (i have to admit it as a french). If you have a guitar we can exchange a bit!

I can share my personal experiences around the world (more than 35 countries and lived abroad for 10 years).

I would love to cook you a french meel before leaving or give you a small gift from my country.

I can help you in sciences (well that is not really what you would expect from a Couchsurfer), high skills especially in Maths and Computers have no secret for me.

I would love to learn about ALL YOUR skills as well ! :)
