ABOUT ME

I am the head guide for a whale watching and aurora borealis company in Reykjavik, Iceland! Kilt wearer, water swimmer, animal whisperer, jar opener, photo taker, person befriender, tent putter-upper, dawn raider, bagpipe player, mountain conquerer, drink drinker, tree climber, path finder, fire spinner, boulder clamberer, food disapearer, snake catcher, scorpion rangler, fish impersonator, taps-aff initiator, sea surfer, mud wrestler, sky reacher, floor dancer, light bringer, country hopper, boat sailor, haggis eater, life saver, music collector, piano quitter, dingy rider, stream forder, friend darer, sexy woman impersonator, lighthouse liver, wilderness survivor, waterfall washer, coconut collector, revision dodger, ditch sleeper, bush jumper, ice licker, bellyflop lander, total parent worrier and all that other jazz!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to experience anything and everything!! Challenge myself everyday and make a shed load of friends in the process! After all, all men are equal before fish.

I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party.

Saltwater cures everything - be it sweat, tears or seawater! :D

There's no time to be anything other than happy or optimistic!! A day without sunshine is like, you know, night. Stress leaves me alone and my life is feckin awesome!! Oh and lastly, don't play leapfrog with a unicorn..!

I have a couch, I surf....you can sleep on my surfboard and I'll surf your couch ayyeee?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The red couches of 3b Tay Street played host to many University waterpolo and swim teams, saw more than their fair share of drunken fancydress wearing students and fulfilled a life of excess and luxury envied by all other couches.

Music, Movies, and Books

For me.....music doesn't get any better than driving at 6am in the morning to a surf just as the sun comes up and a favourite tune comes on. The tune hits the toes and jumps through the body in that awesome electrical-like gut feeling and HAS to escape as a shout!! The poor sheep that live between me and my nearest beach wander must thing im mental when I drive past shouting at them every morning "IM GOING SURFING, FCKKKKK YEAHHHH!! YEEEAAAAHH!!!"

Basically If I can cut a shape, tap a foot or just make an aboslute tit of myself on the dancefloor then that kinda music's good for me!

Some tastes include folk music, electro swing,other electronic (flume, mr scruff, bonobo, chinese man, vandal, pretty lights, flux pavillion, hermitude, disclosure etc), reggae, some rap, some oldschool, cheeky bit of eighties, ...well the list would be endless!! Oh and if keen I'll introduce you to some awesome scottish/irish folk music :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well I'm a whale watching and Aurora Borealis guide so do amazing things everyday....I'm so lucky!!Bagpiping with french superstars, getting banned from Canada, accidentaly drinking the only raw gold I ever found, jammin with Arnold Schwarzenegger first cousin (also called Arnold Schwarzenegger), Getting bitten by a deadly snake, Skinning dipping amongst bioluminescent waves, Finding 6,000year old stone tools, saw my first ever Orca while i was doing a poo on a clifftop (it was a huge male one and was chasing a pod of dolphins...the orca I mean) torches fading in lavatubes, whale research and rum, chasing away bears, every day i spend in the sea...Oh I have quite a few!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to teach, love to learn...the most useful thing anybody ever taught me was how to turn wrappers and packets into neat little triangles. Saves so much space and mess and also who doesn't like a good triangle!!
