I move around a lot, from project to project... when I'm not working my time is split between living in Porto and spending time with my daughter who is at University in the UK.

I work in events and over the last few years I was living/working in Qatar, Dubai, Brazil, Portugal, New Zealand, Canada, Turkmenistan, Indonesia, Peru... my base is Porto where I sometimes do house renovating, tour guiding or hosting.... but I'm always free for coffee (I only drink the best coffee in town), Port wine, craft beer (same as the coffee), Pastel de Nata...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Made friends in many places and stayed with some hosts in Brasil which was eye opening... work sees me on the move perpetually but when I can host, I do.

Interests

Conversation / debate, hiking, rock climbing, socialising (drinking)... and pretty much anything else that entertains me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Have read a lot but rarely remember what I liked and what I didn't... have been reading whatever I could download for free on my Kindle, some old classics... and also enjoy science fiction for some mental escapism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once helped a guy who collapsed in front of me in the street... I later saw a thank you note in a newspaper that said 'to the person who helped me when I collapsed, my wife and family thank you for possibly saving my life'... almost made me want to study medicine.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - About the only thing I have taught before is software for Design (CAD) but guess I could take a swing at English... my accent is very clear and easy to understand and I am particular about grammar. Oh and if you want to get involved in rock climbing let me know... I always try and find the local scene in each new place I live.

Learn - Always interested in new ideas / opinions / general perspectives on life

Share - Hmmm... apart from stimulating conversation, I have loads of music and movies to share!
