I'm super sociable and always open to new experiences. I love travelling and trying new things, especially related to art and culture. I love sharing and meeting new people, and love to laugh and have fun. But I also have a soft spot for heavy and uncomfortable conversations about the nature of humanity, politics, gender politics, etc. My friends tell me my sense of humour is up to scratch; I choose to believe them... I'm really interested in learning about other peoples' experiences. No drugs though.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and been hosted, played tour guide and explored beautiful, unfamiliar places. But most of all, I've met wonderful people with whom I met some great memories (nothing will ever top that time I went on a spontaneous bungee jumping trip with my American guest)

I haven't been active for a while, as circumstances didn't allow, but I'm excited get back in the game again! I've finally moved into a cosy enough house in London to be able to start hosting again, which I'm quite excited about! I'm happy to host and be hosted, but also meet up with people in London for a coffee, walk, drink, gig or what have you!

I truly love this community; it's quite something. Its humanity, altruism and inclusivity are unparalleled. To be given the opportunity to travel with a low budget and meet new people from all over the world, share your experiences and ideas and live like a local, no matter where you are or where you're coming from, is quite humbling. The world needs more of that.

Interests

I'm a professional actress, jazz singer and photographer, so I spend a lot of time going to jazz jams, gigs, plays, spoken word events, and exhibitions and generally exploring the underground scene in London. I'm constantly socialising with like-minded people and taking classes to better myself in various fields (piano, dancing, filmmaking etc). I'm trying to go to more festivals and happenings outside London lately, so that'll be exciting.

I still have a full time job in Publishing, so it gets exhausting and quite hard to keep up sometimes, but I'm living a full and fulfilling life, so, you know..
