About Me

ABOUT ME

I am loving life! I'm pretty much a naturally high individual - a ball of good positive energy.
I'm not a smoker or drinker, or a party animal, but manage to have loads of fun. Rhythm is my cure.
I'm on here to contribute to this wonderful giving community and meet interesting people in the process.
I'm totally into recycling, reducing and reusing and sustainability is a turn on for me. I'm borderline vegetarian. (I love salmon.... just sayin' If it wasn't for the salmon and honey, I'd be vegan)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My son and I share an apartment and have an extra room. I think this is a great way to meet people from all over and share ideas - it makes life interesting. That being said, I'd appreciate having a little visit with peeps that stay here. The whole point is to connect - it's not just about free accommodation. Of course you're welcome to explore on your own when you visit.

*** If you surf with us, please plan on arriving before 9:30 pm so we have a chance to get acquainted.
*** Absolutely no illegal drugs, no smoking and no excessive drinking in the house.

We've had the pleasure of hosting and visiting many people while in a different community. It's fun to reach out and help to make traveling more fun and affordable. I hope we both will make many friends this way.

Interests

I love to live and laugh.
Drumming, Dance and Music are my passion. I am a rhythm facilitator and a certified laughter yoga leader. My aim is to energize people through rhythm based events and encourage people to laugh more.
Paddle boarding,
Snowboarding , Volleyball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, rollerblading, hiking or walking along a beach are among favourite activities.
Eating stuff from my garden is the best, though I'm better at growing stuff than cooking it.
I'm a little bit of a hippie preferring natural stuff. I try to stay away from processed foods, but I admit, sometimes I get lazy.

I love going for bike rides, hiking, checking out some new place, going for a stroll and admiring people's gardens, window shopping and trying some new sport. Love the beach and mountains.

I'm exploring things like the law of attraction and resonate with like minded people.

Music, Movies, and Books

OK, I'll admit - stuff from the 90s to the 60s - though I love the 80's.
I'm in the drumming world, so world music - African, Middle Eastern, Rock n roll, Reggae.
I am a Rhythm Facilitator - I love to encourage people to connect with each other in playing rhythm. Community Drumming is incredibly healing and it brings people together.
My son teaches ballroom dancing, loves taking nature pics and is amazing at drawing 🙂

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving and swam with turtles in Hawaii :)
I facilitated a drum circle in China for over 100 people without language (!)
Visited the Rainforest in Guyana
Went kayaking at night to watch fireworks in Vancouver

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to show you my favourite places around Vancouver - or even discover new places with you. I have a car.
The bread is always fresh at my place.
Homemade kombucha or water kefir is highly likely.
I love trying to make home made stuff like laundry soap, bath bombs and scrubs.
I'm a gardener - I would totally be willing to share produce from my garden when in season.
I'm always willing to share a good laugh or just chill out in front of the fireplace.
