Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am an avid traveler and take any opportunities to visit new places. As of now, I am on the east coast for the first time in my life and have spent the last three days scouring around the greater Boston area.

The hardest part about traveling, in my opinion, is the planning process. Once there is a rough guide, execution is easy, thrilling, and fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There's a first time for everything! I'm looking forward to my first experience, followed by a good story to tell.

Interests

- Traveling: have been throughout the Western half of the US (family vacation), Mexico (sailing the Pacific coast), Canada (roadtrip), Taiwan (family and pleasure), and China (study abroad)
- Exercise lover: currently rowing for the Cal Lightweight Crew
- Perspectives: learning about the culture and histories of people throughout the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sailed the western coast of Baja California, starting from Cabo San Lucas and ending in Long Beach California. This twelve day trip totaled 1,000 miles. The boat broke down and we almost capsized on the first night of sailing. We saw a sea of dolphins, walked across a barren marshland and empty beachhead, and visited indigenous villagers, amongst many other bewildering sights.
