CURRENT MISSION

We (Priya and Sanjay) want to travel through California before going to live in Mexico with the main goal of learning spanish, writing a vegan cook book, become a textile queen and prodigy on the trumpet (respectively) throughout the way.

ABOUT ME

We both have grown up in Northern Tasmania, Australia.

Priya has completed a bachelor of visual communication at the art school in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia - and is now dabbling in disjointed art and craft projects (zines, sock knitting, jewellery making) that never really see fruition but definitely are going to amount so something amazing probably by the time i'm 60 .

Sanjay is currently studying spanish and learning trumpet and embarking on writing a vegetarian mexican cook book.

PHILOSOPHY

we try to live in an ethical and wholesome way, and also try to be nice at all times, whiles sticking up for what is right. Our current mission is to try and develop and learn to our full potentials by traveling and experiencing as much as we can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've both hosted people travelling in Tasmania and Melbourne back when we were young whipper snapperzz.

Neither of us have yet be couch surfers yet so we're excited to meet new people and help us these new places.

Interests

PRIYA: I spend most of my time making things

(psychedelia/primitivism/grotesque) contemporary dance, textile and fashion design, interior design, architecture, jump rope, i really love flowers and plants too like Sanjay, cooking, beer, vegetarianism, braiding my hair (and others) appreciating natural and historical beauty, museums and ruins, learning new things, hearing different peoples stories!

~ I enjoy so many genres of music but at the moment i have been enjoying Dead Can Dance, Erykah Badu, Planningtorock, a melange of dirty club beats, flying lotus.

Directors i love are Harmony Korine, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Jim Jarmusch and David Lynch - I have a huge thing for bollywood cinema. films i enjoyed: Heavenly Creatures, Coffee & Cigarettes, Science of Sleep, Holy Smoke, Good Burger, Night on Earth, Star wars!, Daisies, The Kraft and Boyz n The Hood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

SANJAY
I had a goal to get Naked in 100 Public places in 2010, which I surprisingly achieved.

Higlights being: At an airport, In the Doctors Waiting room before an appoinment, Running of my work on my last shift and on the top of Mount Ossa (Highest point in Tasmania).

PRIYA
Have been in both "today and tomorrow" In fiji, stood on the timeline.

Teach, Learn, Share

SANJAY
I am keen gardener (with a knowledge of permaculture) who will be happy help in anyway I could in exchange for a stay.
I also can cook traditional Indian food taught by my mama (!) for anyone who we stay with.
I can teach anyone how to juggle too!

PRIYA
I have great fine motor skills which means i know how to knit and sew things. I also am pretty okay at cooking indian too (taught by my dad)
I also can draw, so i can draw you as a present

I studied graphic design so i have nerdy skills in the adobe creative suite (indesign/photoshop/illustrator)
